How long does it take you to make a full rig like this and how long have you been rigging?
@dachi_art8 ай бұрын
I'd say a rig like this from scratch would take me between two weeks and a month, But this rig is reusing some parts of my previous rig so it took me less than a week. I started rigging about 2 years ago but I had experience with Toon Boom for 5 years by then, mostly for frame by frame

@@dachi_artWell, here in my country I am an animator and some of us are migrating from Adobe animate to toonboom harmony but where I get lost is in the riggs, the pegs, the nodes, the master controls, patches, masks and scenes, the other thing I am from Cuba and I use a Google translator, if the videos had subtitles in Spanish you would help a large community of animators here

@EvandroAlcSouza8 ай бұрын
hey awesome guy, how did you make the pupil move around the eye, distorting at the edges like a real eye?
@dachi_art8 ай бұрын
Thanks man, I make it distort like that using a Two Point Constraints setup. It shows a bit more clearly in my other eye video. I'll make a tutorial on it some day

does this faster than frame by frame? can you do both to see which faster?
@dachi_art8 ай бұрын
There's no competition, animating this rig is way faster than doing it frame by frame, but the initial rigging is quite time-consuming too. Most shorts/indie projects are done frame by frame instead of rigging.

Do you work in the animation industry as a rigger?
@dachi_art8 ай бұрын
I don't, I'm just a freelance animator and I'm trying to incorporate rigging and cut out to my toolset
