They literally changed the entire status quo in Shadowbringers and Endwalker. There was the official reveal of Hydaelyn and Zodiark as primals (which was spoiled during the E3 presentation as a minor spoiler). Endwalker broke traditional FF storytelling by making the "all powerful" deity of Hydaelyn ACTUALLY be a force of good rather than manipulative and evil. As for emotional moments, both ShB and EW are full of them. While Heavensward is a great expansion, its major flaw was wrapping up the story a bit too tightly. ARR originally started as wanting to explore the Twelve, but that was shelved for Hydaelyn and Zodiark. HW was just finishing up a known storyline from 1.0. So sure, Stormblood is a flawed expansion, but it had to build the foundation for ShB and EW. ARR and HW both used the idea of killing off characters frequently for drama and elevating tension. This was a common trope from the early '10's made popular from GoT. Plus it also has been woven into the story where the Ancients were ready and willing to sacrifice themselves and others for their goal. (Noble or not.) And the WoL doesn't do so.

There is actually, in storm blood part haha, when he turned into Shinryu. And there is a loooong scene for he as Shinryu though. We cannot deny that was him! :) I didn’t put the last story scene of 6.0 in just because it was really way too long to put in.
