I remember the first time I played gen 2 years back on my gameboy. I had a Croconaw with Water Gun, Cut, Scratch and Ice Punch, an Abra, and a Pidgeotto. I went into the fight with Whitney thinking it would be easy. Boy was I wrong. After my Pidgeotto and Abra were decimated, my weakened Croconaw was sent out. I did not do enough damage and one more rollout would defeat me, I asked my Croconaw: "Please Croconaw, I know you can do it..." I remember almost crying in front of my gameboy as a little kid. I selected Ice Punch, my Quick Claw activated and froze Miltank in the spot. The next turn Croconaw hit a critical Ice Punch to take out Miltank, being left on a few HP. I still think back at that moment and other moments from my Gen2 adventure, what an amazing game it was.

As Yasunori Nishiki described in his post, this melody was originally created for Patitio the Merchant but was rejected by the director. Finally, they had a chance to reuse this and it became what we hear in-game.

Aww my favorite! Healthy amount of jazziness and cuteness huh? The left hand part looks really tough though! Definitely try learning this with some adaptations cuz my hands aren’t the biggest ;)

I love the music, I love the theme, but the trip up to the final battle was disappointing. I _really_ wish mainline Pokémon could develop a decent "rogue-like" setup for dungeons. That way, they can put more effort into set pieces, writing, and making new Pokémon, but still include more postgame content. I loved Dynamax Adventures, and they were in that vein. They were BASICALLY mini-rogue-like dungeons. We just need that for some dungeons and the postgame in a mainline game.
@LazyTotodile2 ай бұрын
I appreciated Dynamax Adventures as a separate mode. I think it might feel out of place to be a regular, story-based aspect of a Pokémon game, but I'd probably still enjoy it haha. Thanks for watching!

Dude! I really like this! I like how you stayed true to it in places but added your own flair and slight variations to it! I don't know if you've updated it in the last few years, but I think there's a line notation or piano notation available to add pedal for when the notes need to sort of reverb and elongate and feel more flowy. Awesome stuff!

Discovered your channel _just yesterday_ ("better late than never" ahh viewer), and dived immediately into the listening of the most recognisable Pokémon melodies. Dayum were your accuracy and gratuitousness of the pieces recreations the first stunning things! And as I was watching the midis played through visualizer, I started thinking about a duo to pick and to ask somebody to play with... let's say it inspired me??? Then this morning in the recommended section: boom, didn't know you've interrupted activities and now come back. This video rocks, as ーcontradictorily to the time I've stopped by hereーalways. Good luck on everythinggggggg!

It has been 2 years, 2 months, 16 days, 14 hours, and 58 minutes since the last time the best piano midi composer on KZbin released a track for Pokémon R/S/E for us. Yet that is still not enough time to fully appreciate each piece.
