I thought of this song today snd how it has lifted my spirits once again. The voices are beautiful, people coming together, sharing Jesus's love is so powerful. 1 John 5:19 is one of the hardest sentences in the whole New Testament: We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. It must be true because John wrote it, and he knew all that Jesus was capable of. But of course it refers to the world system, as we see a world of the 2020s in which even potential and noble ways to God's truth and love like science, the arts, investigative media, democratic institutions and international organisations are found wanting, biased, corrupted, selective, lying and captured. But the above can be set against all of that - individuals in the world working together and longing and striving for something better, that matters, that means something, that is not compromised and tainted and rises above, and takes us higher, and helps us cast of the all-encompassing evil, chaos, meanness, shallow gloss and emptiness. Yes indeed.

I'm so grateful for this song. During the lockdown, my dear Dad loved this song and the collaboration it took., and he sent it to us all on KZbin. He died suddenly in 2020. We played this at his funeral. . He was a wonderful kind Christian man, and I'm so grateful he listened to this beautiful song in his last days. God bless you all, and your children, and all of our children, and their children. I can't help but cry when I hear it but it's blessing from God. Thank you so much for making it. I try to watch all the version of The Blessing, something that really heals my soul. I thanks to God be a humble christian believer. But from my point of view, close churches, was not a mandate, was an evil tirany, an experiment to see who is free or slave, among populations.
