Is there any alternative for Vanilla Essence?

These days you can find vanilla "extract", vanilla "imitation" and vanilla"essence". There is a difference in price and the three things are not the same. So if your local store doesn't have "essence" you can buy the other two, or if you like, go for another flavor like cinnamon, mint etc or maybe even chocolate :) although personally I have not tried these other flavors in custard
