Eggers is right that She Beast is a terrible movie, and perhaps there is nothing to be learned from it, but the film's director must have learned something, because it was the debut of Michael Reeves - who went on to share quite a lot stylistically with Eggers himself. My husband after 10 mins in is saying how accurate this is. He was raised as a Jehovah and decided to not follow into adulthood. His parents are still well respected elders. His sisters are still Jehovah. My husband was very lucky he was not shunned from the family and we do have a good relationship with them. They do bring us the Watchtower and we respect their beliefs but they respect our decisions. He hated being raised as a Jehovah but made some good friends who are all now out of it
