Intrigued you even bought this bike if you aren't really a Suzuki person? Looks like a fair undertaking but at least she seems to run OK. Was also impressed that after the wash it looked just like it did before 😁 - but that could just be a camera thing. I love gixxas (yeah - I'll say "gixxa") and have owned a 2005 GSX/R 1000 for 19 years. Shame to see the state your machine was in and looks like it needs some TLC. All the best

you should make it a trackable road bike, check to see if there are any performance mods other than the exhaust eg power commander

Always makes me scratch my head how what was once an immaculate, brand new machine and someone’s P&J, ends up like this… poor bike Hopefully it’s in better heads now than all the previous million owners

What degree rake do i select for this look 5 or 6? It says "6 wide glyde only" on the website
@Huntspeedmotorcycles
@Huntspeedmotorcycles 27 күн бұрын
I have the 3 degree rake as stated in the video. Im pretty sure The website used to say 21 inch wheel u need 3 deg 23inch wheel 5deg
@Huntspeedmotorcycles
@Huntspeedmotorcycles 27 күн бұрын
This is a direct copy paste from the website in the rocker section. HHI 49mm triple trees are available in 3, 5 and 6 degree rake. The 3 degree rake works best with a 21" size wheel. 5 degree trees are only recommended when installing a 23” wheel and the 6 deg rake is for a 26” wheel.

My 89 has the original spare and it's a Uniroyal Tigerpaw. I believe a lot of GM trucks came with Uniroyals of some kind. Even though your tire probably isn't factory, it's still pretty old considering it doesn't have a date code. I believe the DOT numbers started sometime in the 2000s. I forget which year.
