Hey i got the same one and i also want to do that upgrade, now am wondering do the features of the new hardware also come with the upgrade? For example does it let you put the map full screen and stuff like that? Did the upgrade the mcu? Or is literally just a software they add for full self driving? Last did it come with summon as well?

Also if I may ask, how was it finding a company to install the home charger, that's one of the things that plagues my mind on getting a Tesla, and the last thing.. I saw there are NO incentives for our state, NC. Instead, we are penalized $180 annually for the registration. Has that been bothersome? Also so curious about insurance... anyway, just some things I've had on my mind, been really thinking of getting a Tesla lately. Apologies for the wall of text/questions, just thought I'd pick at the brain some lol. PS. Awesome videos!

Thanks for the video Matthew. I've had a 2019 RWD Model 3 Standard range for about 18 months and had always thought it should have had a 150 kW max charge rate because of its smaller 55 kWh battery, but this summer I've frequently seen 174 kW and even 177 kW on Version 3 Superchargers. There must have been an update that has raised the maximum charge rate. I'd like to repeat the test you did but from the more common low SOC I get on a road trip of around 5% to 95%, but what did you do to capture the data and display the graphs that way?
@OfficialElectrifyingInsights4 ай бұрын
I’m glad you enjoyed the video! I’m glad to hear your charge rate has increased! The way I track the charging data is through an app called Tessie. You just connect it to your Tesla account and it automatically tracks all charging data and generates those graphs I showed in the video.

I am not against EVs. Not my cup of tea but whenever I watch a travel video (really enjoy them) , the EV drivers constantly talk about range, and charging, cost, and where the next charge is. When I see the videos with gas driven cars they talk about the scenery, stopping for food, exploring smaller towns, etc. They never mention gas other than stopping to fill up. My point? I guess that is for you decide as I know what I want to drvie,
@OfficialElectrifyingInsights4 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment! EVs are newer, so we focus on range, charging, and costs to educate viewers about their practicality on road trips. We want to show that traveling with an EV is easy and convenient, including how far they can go and where to charge. As people get more familiar with EVs, we hope to focus more on the journey and experiences, just like in videos with gas-powered cars.

I have a 85k miles 2018 M3 LR. 99.5% is L2 charging. Still on MCU 2.5, and has lifetime premium connectivity. If FSD transfer is still available by the time needing a new M3 LR, will just pay $2k to upgrade from EAP then transfer FSD directly to new car (without paying $1k to upgrade M3 MCU from 2.5 to 3.0) Had Michelin PILOT SPORT AS4 235/45ZR18 98Y XL tires (45k miles before it got too noisy with 4/32 and 6/32 thread) and currently on Continenal ExtremeContact DWS S06 Plus 235/45ZR18XL. 250 mi/kw lifetime average. Don't really track the battery/range health, nothing out of norm. Replaced charging door assembly at 30k miles. Replaced sensor for passenger seat (free) at 56k miles. Replaced 12v battery at 65k miles (4.5 years). Replaced 2 sets of air filter by myself.
