You don't mention a varnish.. Isn't that needed to avoid discolouring of the metal leaf? Is it here not necessary because it's just a card or do you generally not do it?

Question, it looks like you are mostly blending by putting the colors on top of each other. Do you ever use your fingers or other tools for blending?

@@kathyb521 thank you for your question. There are no rules, I personally like using circular movements in order to get smooth transition between colours and my fingers as well. Blending tools I like less.

I took this class and I really enjoyed it. She is fun to watch and her use of colors are interesting. And she explains everything you need to know like what you need for the class and how to do each thing. The gold leaf was interesting. Now I can use what I learned on other paintings.
