The real reason was a lack of financial regulation before that period. BTW in 2009 the interest rates were crazy as all banks had gone bust and housing prices were decreasing like crazy. Not a save investment unlike today.

Sorry to burst your bubble, a lot of alcohols are not vegan or gluten free, I say this as somebody with celiac disease who's been vegan since 2011... So the answer is actually water... Also to be fair anyone can eat food that is vegan and gluten-free. It's just a matter of not wanting to.
