Remember any 4x4 can get bogged on the beach comes down to the nut behind the wheel regardless large 4x4 or soft roaders

Holy shit, HEMA maps needs to look at this video and re classify this track. It's marked as an easy track on their maps. I was planning to go on this track by going according to HEMA's classification. Now by looking at this video I can see that it's steep and narrow and driver concentration and skill needs to be 100%. Then I read about the two young ones not making it alive. EASY track it is not and I for one would not be comfortable negotiating those switchbacks. There are not that many videos on this track either which shows a lot of people have avoided it. Nice driving by you guys though but it's not for me.

Err just do a 3 point turn? Is it that tight or steep?

You can't make it in one turn and trying a 3 point turn is actually more dangerous than driving it this way.

Yes it WAS all tight turns & it was built with ramps at each end of the switch backs so you could do the forward & reverse. I said WAS as the track is now closed because of the deaths last year 2019. (Done right it was fun)

planning to go Gummi falls camp this weekend someone says there is some very difficult ruts from Gloucester, did you have any problems or say it's a difficult track to get to the campsite?

DeepBlackice if going in through the back of devil's hole then yes there are long sections of muddy ruts

@@Toddyhore good access turn rigjt just before you get to Polblue. Hema maps do a good fold out paper map. Closed between june long weekend to oct longweekend worth the effort to get there

Once on the ridge it's a relatively easy drive. There's one rocky section on the track in that might give you problems. It's a little rougher and looser this year than previous. Only one way to find out

G'day mate. Good to see more people putting their X Trails to proper use! I have a 07 Ti all completely stock. What psi should I have my tyres at on this track?

Depends on what tyres you run. If you have A/Ts that are normally at 40psi I would drop to around 25-28psi.

Not a drop in the cabin. It's had a 40mm spring lift but also had a snorkel.
