60 miles with 3 batteries is crazy i can get almost 50 on one. I suspect the extra weight and smaller sized wheels plays a part

i would never have a bike with no rear suspension---my mountain bikes all have full front and rear suspension and the two electric bikes full suspension--makes a world of difference

I agree with you. But I’m 65 now and I’m just a wimp when it comes to riding so I stay on the flat bike trails and this bike is more than enough for my needs. I know I look 22, ha ha ha, but if I was I would definitely buy a high-end bike, or just build a killer one. When I purchased these they were only $1600. And I have gotten over 5000 miles on them. I think that’s a great deal. Thanks for sharing.👍

I have both full suspension and hardtail e-bikes from Haibike. Riding the street only, with some graveI , I find rear suspension is really not needed, Rear suspension can add a lot of weight and also removes some of the "sporty" feel on pavement. There is definitely a place for hardtail eBikes.

I have a Rad Mini ebike. I have three batteries on the rear. I have three super bright lights for tunnels. I have 8 USB plugs. I have an Exstream siren for trying to take my bike. I have better mirrors and two bars on the handlebar, for much more gear. I am setup to travel 70 miles, going up and down hills where I live. I just bought another brand new ebike to travel 135 miles with no peddling. For my new ebike will have one extra battery, $1,000... I am going to make a camping trailer next so I can camp two weeks before going to a store again for food. I do too much designing for my bikes. My current battery amps are 13.5 amps, my new ebike has 60-amp batteries. I have two pressure tiers meter one for ebike and another for the trailer. Nice to notice the tire air, it has helped me for a slow leak after 48 miles. I only had two issues on my ebike, but now it's perfect. I am planning to sell my Rad now, $2,500... Thanks!

I ride from Bothell to Issaquah on my Rad and use 2.5 batteries. My new bike will have 60 Ah batteries, so much easier and longer rides. I want to go to Cle Elum one of these days with my trailer. Running a trailer I never know it's on me, until going down hills easy. I hate Burke Gilman Trail, they are too bumpy going to Sandpoint, they had not fixed the trail after 45 years from Sandpoint to Index. I lived right at Sandpoint for many years. I worked at Dick's Market for 10 years. My bike is totally different than anyone else, but it did cost a lot and time to design. Oh, I have blinkers and brake lights, just like a motorcycle. I finally had one guy to chat while on the same trail now twice, it has been good. My best friend rides normal bikes and will tell end. I am wanting to start at Rattle Snake to Cle Elum, with someone else. Enough of me!

That's a great question! I purchased 3 rad Rovers, one was stolen, all were the same, so easy exchange. I also bought a rad mission on impulse , and I verified at the shop that it was interchangeable with my rovers, yet battery was slightly smaller. Call the rad shop.👍

I've ridden around my clu try town and onto another two and since aigust 2021 I've done between two bike that are the same and I have done over 22,000 kilometres using a 52v battery and a 1kW bafang midrive motors. I wouldn't want to use anything else. Maybe except a 750w mid drive but that's not important

Nice bike set up. I know what you mean about batteries, you can never have enough juice. I put almost 11k miles on my Ecotric hardtail with no suspension and I am on my 3rd battery. Instead of buying a 4th, I just bought an AWD ebike with a 22ah battery. It blows away my 36v Ecotric, it also goes 35 mph to boot LOL Rode 40 miles yesterday and still had 1/2 bars, rode today 30 miles and still had 3/4. They say it will do 60 miles and I believe it. I will test it this spring. I was thinking about adding another battery, but it is probably not needed as I doubt I will ever do more than 60. If I do, I will just carry one in a bag or have the wife meet me to switch half way. My wife has put on over 5k miles on her RAD and she still has the original battery. She usually rides about 10 miles a day, so she charges every other day so I think that is why she has had better luck with her battery.

I've been messing around with these recipes for years and I've added a few dashes of liquid smoke during the brining portion and also a few drops to the glaze. Don't use too much because it's very strong... enjoy

I have really enjoyed you riding both ebike and plan. I used to be able to ride on a plan from where you went and us west around and Seattle and north. I am in Bothell and I have been just about finished building on my ebike. I had done a lot of Snoqualmie Falls photos. I not went been able to ride with others with ebikes. My best friend rides everywhere I go and he has no ebike. I want to be able to find places to camp with my ebike over Loop highway and Islands. I was only able to ride from Bothell to Redmond with one battery, I now have four batteries mounted, a lot of weight. My plan is to be able to ride from Rattlesnake to Cle Elum. I will stay camping four days. BTW, thanks! Fred
