Streamers are annoying irl, that’s indisputable on some level. However, I completely disagree with you. Filming in public should never be made illegal, it’s one of the first amendments modern cornerstones. It’s as the saying goes “I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.” You don’t have to agree with what they do as long as they don’t encroach on your person or intentionally violate the law.

@@Maywek The issue is that people dont realise the harm that it is causing because they can't think further ahead then their own person. Law enforemence for example can't even do their job theese days without the fear of public outcry for the smallest of issue. Cops beeing filmed 24/7 for example has caused many police killings because they are afraid to use the nessecary violence in the first place then they get scared because they get put into a situation where they are unsure how to handle because they didnt act properly in the first place then they instead use their firearms or they in general use excessive force. This was just one example of many issues public filming causes. No privacy is another one, ppl litterally uploading shit online with no regards of how it will impact other ppl then themself. Im not an american so i dnt rly care if u guys kill urselfs , thats ur issue luckily here in Sweden people arent (yet) as insane as in America with public filming and streaming. There should atleast be laws against uploading content to the web without everyone in the footages consent. Film best u like but upload on ur own risk.

It’s explicitly permitted to record public officials in the course of their duties, in their official capacities. I don’t recall any significant case where an officer justified deadly force as a result of being “afraid to use the necessary violence in the first place” stemming from a fear of public backlash. Rather, it’s quite the opposite, police have much leniency from their departments to use force at their discretion, and often choose to do so. Very rarely have I ever seen a cop be reprimanded by a department past the point of being sent to desk duty or paid time off, after an altercation. Public outcry is also another benefit our democracy enjoys as a result of the first amendment. Just because there is outcry doesn’t mean it’s neither justified, nor unjustified. Finally, journalism and public reporting would be a nightmare if everyone in public had to consent. I think it’s quite beautiful that we have the right to record whatever we can see from public. Of course I don’t like violence, but banning photography and public recording is not going to solve the issues you’ve mentioned. Freedom will always be at a cost, ironically.
