Yes you can't do things you did 30 years ago - nor should you want to! Exercise is a dirty word but you still need to do it in old age. The body responds to being used NOT to - 'taking it easy' Don't fall for the trap of lethargy. At 70 I still walk for miles, dig the garden, lift heavy items climb ladders and do garden work. Not because I HAVE to but because I chose to. 'Taking it easy' is the fast lane to the hospital. When i start walking my knees ache but after a while they stop aching and are fine and can walk up to six miles or so. I say MAKE THE BODY WORK and you will be healthier and enjoy your later years without the stresses of your younger years!

The one gathering that i have avoided since i turned 18 is church. Life is so much better without religion and insipid churches. Our planet has evolved poorly. Church being the guidance for the most advanced species on the planet is evidence for that to any civilization that might be observing us.

This advise is not great. Walking is good for circulation and for joints, heart and lungs as well as muscle strength. The obvious is mentioned: not walking excessively. Anything that is done excessively is bad, also strength training. Joga and Taichi are beyond many senior ability.

But when your pecker shrinks up where you can't even find it and your woman's lips are down to her knees and her boobs are up over her shoulders You're probably going to want some strong hallucinogenics to pretend I'm not here It's not happening everything's okay I just trip and fall break a bone now and then and dream about the past and remind everybody of your accomplishments 50 60 years ago I forget that soon you'll be dust and within 40 years your name will be forgotten and you will mean nothing to anyone.

Hmmm... I've been getting a lot of these so-called 'life-lesson'- type videos in my feed lately and I suspect that most, if not all of them are AI-generated. I'm not sure how I feel about being given 'life-lessons' by a machine which is not, and never will be alive, regardless of how sensible their advice may seem at first glance. Somehow they just make me feel uncomfortable. Just sayin'... 🤔

I learned that lesson last Christmas about avoiding family gatherings. My family seems to think they can avoid me all year and never call. Then at Christmas time, they invited me to a family Christmas dinner IF I could take myself, even though some of them were driving right through my area. If there was an award for selfish self centeredness, my brother and sisters, as well as their children could take it.

Good video. Not all infirmities are the result of the causal factors you mention. I am 84. Five years ago, one disk kind of collapsed and caused damage to the nerves in my left leg and foot. I cannot balance on the left foot. I have compensated by walking a bit more carefully. My eyes and the other weak link. Wet macular degeneration keeps my right eye from being able to focus. My left eye is not great either. Reading is difficult. I do it mainly on a large computer monitor. I can walk, do exercise, can make decisions, handle my finances, interact often with wife and children, cook frequent meals, repair home and car problems, etc. Thanks for the presentation.
