My opinion is that diet plays a role. We often don't underscore the impact of diet in all ocular conditions. Reducing ultra processed foods, and foods high in sugars/ carbohydrates will reduce inflammation in the body and the eyes. This has been my experience as an Optometrist

I have them on my eyes and all over my face and body and can't get any help with them with my health provider They have changed my life so much I can't hardly eat because of them.. no matter what I do they come back up on my face, eyes and around my mouth... I have went from a 156 pound's to 111 pounds... I don't know what to do because doctor's doesn't know enough about them... Excellent presentation and something we as humans all need to keep our "eye" on. I was a generation (GenX) that DID go outside 2 or more hours a day. Just was dx with cataracts in my very early 50s. It would be great if we could find a way to stop or at least slow high myopia and the subsequent other dx (MD, RT or Glaucoma). THank you for your post. Very helpful.
