I feel like this movie would have been great if its was all about the hospital area and Mikael just randomly goes around killing people and chasing Laurie, the scene when he killed the nurse (yeah the dark one) was just such a moment when we see Mikael just raging in full raw glory in a simple manner if stabing, Rob Zombie was great with those scenes. But the rest of the movie was just pure fucking awful nonsence.

I already explained the time line of events an how it all happened in my original comment. Now you can see where elements came from that went into to official cannon start of Art the Clowns story. In Terrifier 2016 an after like for example the idea he drugs his victims. That comes from the short film The 9th Circle. Then in the short film Terrifier 2010 or 2011 he uses guns on the audio commentary for All Hallows Eve 2013. Damien Leone said that Art was going to use the gun on any one trying to arrest him. You can see how Damien Leone changed that idea at the end of Terrifier 2016. Then the hole her husband had a dream thing an painted Arts face in the 2nd short film. Was changed in Terrifier 2 to where Siena's father was seeing visions of the future. Then Devil thing from The 9th Circle led to the prophecy angle for. The Terrifier 2016 an after along with the enitiy. That resurrected Art back from the dead at the end of Terrifier 2016. So you can see the start of ideas that become fully formed ideas. When he wrote the official cannon start of Art the Clowns story. In the movie Terrifier 2016 there is more but I think you get the point an can see. Where what idea started where for yourself. Also Damien Leone did All Hallows Eve 2. But that is a normal traditional Anthology movie. With completely different short film or stories that have nothing to do with one another. The beginning Damien Leone wanted some new horror characters so since Hollywood was was not. Making them he said he will make one himself so in 2008. He made a short film called The 9th Circle. With a clown in it then some time later like in 2010 or 2011 he made another short film called Terrifier. About that clown but in that one he tried a new look for that clown. Along with giving him a name Art. End of part 1. Then someone seen that Terrifier short film an asked Damien Leone to make a short story or film. For a anthology movie he was making in 2013 called All Hallows Eve. Then Damien Leone convinced him to let him make the entire movie. So Damien Leone took that opportunity to work on his clown character again. So he made the hole wrap around story the thing with the babysitter an the VHS tape. With Art at the center of it in 2013. Then he used the short film The 9th Circle from 2008 as the first story on the tape. Then he made a new short story or film in 2013 about the alien. Because he said he needed 3 short films or stories for All Hallows Eve. Along with he always wanted to make a movie about a alien. So that became the 2nd short film or story on the tape. Then he used the short film Terrifier from 2010 or 2011 as the 3rd short film or story on the tape. So thats the story along with the time line of events of how All Hallows Eve 2013. Came to be an what lead up to it. Damien Leone was trying to get a full length movie made called The 9th Circle at the time. But that never happened. So that's why nothing in All Hallows Eve 2013 is cannon. Because its test ideas only for a clown character only. He had ideas for a completely different movie in mind. But he gave up on that movie. End of part 2 an the end of the All Hallows Eve 2013 story. Then he started to write a new movie form the ground up. That centered on his clown character with the look and name Art the clown. Making the official cannon start of Art the Clowns story in the movie Terrifier 2016. This is confirmed on the audio commentarie for Terrifier 2016. Along with on the other bonus features for the movie. On one the actress that played Tarra says she addition for Damien Leone. Years ago for a movie called The 9th Circle but she never heard. The guy who played ART in this one wasn't David Howard Thorton who played Art in Terrifier and Terrifier 2. That's why he looks different and the whole look of Art is different. He was actually a friend of Damien's. When David got the role they changed the whole look of Art to make him more menacing and scary and David made him his own. I agree the alien story didn't really fit with the rest of the movie but liked the actress because she was better than most of the actresses. But still a fun watch.
