Thanks for the videos. Indeed, Wolfgang and Marlene are the most generous and welcoming of friends and we were very envious of your trip with them this year.hopefully we will avail ourselves of their company sometime next year but alas, do not have the expertise of being a vlogger to show our travels with the. - instead, we are old fashioned bloggers. Good to see you back vlogging. I didn't receive notification of this and also not for Boating in Berlin Part 1. Seeing notification of B-in-B Part 2, sent me to your website to look for Part 1 and there I found this! Very interesting to me. I travelled on the Waverly several times when on holiday in Scotland in the early to mid 60s. She was a wonderful ship then, run by MacBraynes I think, travelling the Firth of Clyde area from Helensburgh to various islands. I loved travelling on her in all weathers!

The Frog was moored next to us for a while and is now only a couple of boats away. In fact i was pulled out of the water by the crew when I fell in early this year! Have often wondered what the story was. I kind of assumed you whould be French! LoL
@FrogInABucket
@FrogInABucket 10 ай бұрын
Oh dear, Rob fell in at least 3 times! We did not name her but heard from the original owners that told us the story behind the name. He was a bit of a fidget and never sat still. There’s a story of a frog that was stuck in a bucket of cream, he jumped about so much that it turned into butter and he was able to jump out. So the boat was called Frog In A Bucket. No French involved! Where is she moored now? Glad they saved you!

Which was the best canal for you both to cruise and why ? Thanks Mick
@FrogInABucket
@FrogInABucket 11 ай бұрын
Hi Mick. That’s a very hard question to answer as there were good bits and not so good bits about them all. Rob particularly liked the Peak Forest for the views, I loved the South Oxford for the lovely villages that we went through. Lots of boaters rave about the Shroppie but we were not that enamoured with it, quite straight and hard to moor due to the shelf. Staffs and Worc is also up there as one of our favourites, not as many locks and very picturesque as well as fun to go along as it’s a proper contour canal with lots of twists and turns. Rob is currently writing a book about our adventures that should be available on Amazon by the end of the year. Are you also a boater?
