I notice on your other channels, you stay in hino Tokyo apartment. How can did you find an apartment in Japan for monthly stayed? Airbnb?
@Jasonmoofang8 күн бұрын
Hey Alex - yes some places on Airbnb can be taken for months, often even with a "monthly discount" if you take whole months, though of course you can't rent permanently. Another service I've used to get monthly apartments in Tokyo is "Sakura House". These would be significantly more expensive than regular local rent rates, but that is to be expected.

Hello!! I’m currently planning on visiting comiket this year, and I was wondering if there’s any bathroom available when you’re waiting in line before the 1030 entrance? Thanks for the video!!😊
@Jasonmoofang20 күн бұрын
Hey Kelvin, yes! The folks organizing the queue usually have a plan for people in the queue who need to use the toilet. You will need to remember your position in queue - there are markers, might be a good idea to go up to an organizer and ask where the nearest toilet is. Personally though I've always made sure to go before the queue. I don't know how far away the toilets typically are.

This was late November 2023. It's a good time for the the foliage color around town, but up in the mountains the conditions were more winter-like - which is charming in its own way.

Did it take you 5 hours to reach the top?
@rachelsaelid6081Ай бұрын
Also, is the trail pretty easy to follow? It looked like a lot of the path was hidden by leaves.
@JasonmoofangАй бұрын
@@rachelsaelid6081 Hello. No it didn't take me 5 hours to get to the top. In fact, going up and then back down, including all the filming and including some exploring and having lunch at the top, took me just under 6 hours total - it's not a very long trail. The trail is pretty easy to follow yes, even covered by leaves it's usually pretty clear where the trail is compared to the surroundings. If you want to be safe, you can also consider getting an app like Yamap that has the trail maps as well as usually pretty reliable real time positioning.

Can I ask which month did you go? Also on the buses, are you on a tour or just took the express bus from Kanazawa
@JasonmoofangАй бұрын
This was mid-December: but note that if you're after snow, I'd usually recommend January as conditions may fluctuate in December. In this video I was on a tour, but I've separately traveled this region before. You can actually reach both Kanazawa and Takayama by train so a train pass works pretty well. I've not personally taken an express bus between Kanazawa and Takayama before, but they likely exist.

@dossnone4554Ай бұрын
@Jasonmoofang We live not far away. In the summer, it's so bright there that your eyes hurt and the views are endless. At 30+ C, happy insects and the deep sweet smell of flowering manuka, it's quite different to the drizzle you had to contend with. And of course, there's endless ice cream ha ha.

In Hakkodamaru, if you go to basement, you could see an engine room and trains. I hoped you visited Nebuta Nuesum Warasse, which is amazing! Sakura festival in Hirosaki park is the best of all in Japan. Also would recommend to go Oirase gorge and Towada lake. I love Aomori!
@JasonmoofangАй бұрын
Yeah someday I may have to go back! The basement on the ship was under some sort of renovation when we were there so we didn't get to go down :( But we did visit the Nebuta museum the evening before! Transportation down to Oirase and Towada were also tricky in midwinter. Maybe a spring revisit some day would be awesome.
@prettyblue3879Ай бұрын
@@Jasonmoofang I think you went to so many places very efficiently in the short period. Well planned! Autumn foliage in Aomori is amazing every where. Last Autumn, we stayed at Hotel Jogakura for Hakkoda and Oirase Keikyu Hotel for Oirase gorge. We harvested some apples at Apple Park. We went back this Spring for Sakura in Hirosaki . We went to several places in Japan, but Aomori is just so beautiful to explore more, so we will back again the next spring. My husband’s favorite onsen is Sukayu Hot spring in Hakkoda. I saw somewhere today that the tour to Sukayu onsen has chosen as the No.1 luxury tour in the world. Mahalo!
@JasonmoofangАй бұрын
@@prettyblue3879 Thanks for the info! I've also been to Akita just south of Aomori before and my own favorite onsen is Tsuru no yu Onsen there. Unfortunately I think it has become much more well known since and it can be difficult to get a room now.
