I got so hungry just thinking of how good that chicken must smell and taste! Lots of good ingredients... I also thought I would share a tip for when I have to sprinkle powdered seasonings on meat - I mix my salt, pepper and paprika all together into an empty salt shaker, and then use it to get an even amount all over the meat. I also keep an empty herb bottle, with bigger holes in the top, if I want to mix seasonings that are not ground into fine powder. I also use this method for sprinkling flour or cornstarch on chicken (to get a very crispy skin), and for sprinkling icing sugar on pastries. Happy New Year to everyone, and pretty Lyalya! 💙💛😽🌻

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and your family, and little Lyalya, also! Thank you for celebrating "English Christmas", as we call it here. When I was in school, the only church nearby was a Roman Catholic one, so we went there. My favourite part of the tradition there was Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve. It would start a little before midnight, and everyone would get a candle. Then the lights would all be turned off in the church. Exactly at midnight, the priest would light his candle, and from that candle, he would light someone else's, and then that person would share the light with some others, until everyone's candles were lit! It was so beautiful, symbolizing spreading the Light of the World to all people! But, we also have always celebrated Ukrainian Christmas Eve on January 6th, here in Canada, and we eventually found a Ukrainian church about an hour's drive away, too, so that we could celebrate there, too. That's where the dancing group was, where we first learned Ukrainian dancing and singing! Anyway, I wish and hope for you and everyone in Ukraine to have a wonderful holiday, and a bright, peaceful, happy and healthy New Year! Lots of love! 💙💛😽🌻

These are so beautiful! I think the dough is something like "хрусткі", and I have loved those since I was a little girl! They remind me of Christmas at my aunt's house...
