When I first moved to WI in 2009 I loved going to Pedro’s, sad to see it gone now that I’ve lived out of state for 10 years. I will always remember the strolling mariachi band.

I have a great story about your old flame LED. I do props for a little theatre. I made a fireplace using the LED flame bulbs in the back of it. It looked so damn real. In fact a woman in the audience went to the manager and complained the smoke was bothering her and we should not use real fire in a theatre. LOL I took that a success.

I bought a new home in '91 with vaulted ceilings and bought a very expensive (for me....) Stealth fan to highlight the high ceiling. I thought it was InteliTouch, but after seeing this catalog video, I think it was Comfort Touch. Great fan, but needed scaffolding to install, and when I sold the house, I just wanted to move on, so I left it for the new owners. Hope it is still running today!

So, when I was a child, the Amazon lights (teal blue and yellow) were the colors on all my c9 Christmas lights. I’m pretty sure overtime they added orange and a darker blue because we ended up having some of those too, but I do believe the yellow and teal were first because they were bought by my grandparents in the 60s. . I’m from Canada so I can’t speak for the USA, but for C9 lights during my childhood (90s) everyone had teal blue. Also, I bought the lights from your links and it seems they changed the lights now. They now have the typical LED blue glow instead of more of a teal, and the yellow is orange now. Unfortunate. Really wanted the ones you have. Going to have to return them

Beautiful fans. I've had a Inteli-touch Stealth model in the early 90s and still have a pair of Inteli-touch Panama fans. American made innovation and quality. Now all the fans come from Communist China. Sad.

I just saw the parody on the anticipated InteliTouch knock-offs from Asia. Hilarious, Casablanca knew their copy-cat competition, which Hunter is now in bed with, having bought Casablanca and then moved all manufacturing to the Orient. Shame on Hunter, and on the American public for not willing to pay for American made quality and buying Chinese made fans.

"Casablanca goes both ways?!" OMG, it just keeps getting better. Today's stifling HR departments would never allow this much fun today.

I just saw that you collaborated with Alec on Technology Connections for his newest video. Did you tell him about these Vintaglo lights? He has been hunting for this type of incandescent-looking minilights for years, and the red-green-blue-yellow color combination is even his preferred one.

Realistic LED bulbs are fine and dandy, but the modern strings still suck. Lousy 4-inch spacing (I like 8) and clumsy heavy wire. I love pre-1997 thin wire Silvestris with 8-inch spacing.
@dspiffyКүн бұрын
Most lights today have thin wire.
@AlexanderCrump2 сағат бұрын
@@dspiffy No. Beginning in 1997, UL mandated that all miniature incandescent light strings be made of heavier wire with heavier insulation. This does not include low-voltage LEDs that run off of a transformer that drops the voltage to 24 volts or lower. Because of the added expense of having to use more expensive wire, string manufacturers started reducing lamp spacing. 5-6 inches used to be the norm. Now you are lucky if you can get 4.

To awnser your question! The first red fan to come out was the delta 2 in red in 1986, my delta 2 is first year 1986 with a red K4 just as shown in the catalog. Exactly like it. In mint condition. Then the Panama and lady delta came in red after the delta 2 came out Then Designer grey Dusty rose Morrocan sand Black White Decorative mauve.

10:20 For me, the much higher brightness of the LEDs versus the incandescents is a deal-breaker. I prefer the dimmer light from conventional 5 or 7 watt C7s, even better if they are 130 volt bulbs. I find the Tru-Tones (and probably all the other similar LEDs) to be too bright. I'd be happy if they were only half as bright.
@dspiffy2 күн бұрын
They work well on dimmers

It's very difficult to make a convincing LED replacement for an incandescent filament. The human brain has evolved to recognize the warm and comforting effect of infrared energy. LEDs don't have any of that. The color temperature can be right, but without the infrared, your brain does not get that dopamine hit. It's why gazing at a Christmas tree lighted with incandescent is very soothing and pretty, and why LEDs almost always leave you feeling cold and wondering what is missing. It's the infrared.
