I’ve seen players as talented offensively, better defensively, and just as tough with and without the puck. But not all of those things rolled into one guy at an elite level. He was amazing.

Forsberg much stronger, played during dead puck era when there was much more hooking than now.

What a great video! I've watched almost every game this season, but this really highlights all the little things he does and shows how truly dominant he is when he is on the ice
@Williamthefourth21 күн бұрын
i was talking to a good friend of mine who played the game in college. He said that if this system was ever taught today the other teams would have no chance to defend it. But you have to have guys who can skate like McDavid or Nathan MacKinnon. The weaving is really frustrating to play against. It would probably take a few seasons to get the players to really understand it. I think its amazing That Scotty Bowman put the 5 of them together and let them do their thing without him getting in the way.

They look like if you plucked two top end guys from today’s NHL and sent them back in time. The skill is insane here. Kariya was such a dynamic player and watching him in real time, it was nuts how absolutely lethal him and Selanne were. If I had to do a comparison, I’d say Kaprizov plays a very similar game to Paul. Not the biggest guy but is incredibly shifty, dominates in the high triangle, has an insanely good shot, and has crazy good vision.

Marchenko has been my best waiver grab for my fantasy squad this year! This is why I love fantasy hockey! How else would I know how incredibly skilled he is unless I was feeling the direct results of his game?

HC Ryan Warsofsky has demoted every prospect in the system that has been called up this season however Celebrini has never left the top line because he is 110% effort in every zone, his compete is setting the pace for the rest of the team and his playmaking is driving offense. Truly a one of a kind player and an elite franchise Center. In terms of comps I would say he is a hybrid of Crosby, Kane and Bergeron.

His instinct and capability in the league as an 18 year old is insane. Very rare to be that good in the face off circle and defensively responsible, all while driving the play too. The future is teal! Go Sharks!!

I grew up in Boston watching Bobby Orr, so that's where I'm coming from....But guys like Quinn Hughes and Connor McDavid have so much talent and skill it boggles my mind more than watching Orr. NHL players are the best athletes in the world, and they are all better than the guys from the 70s, and to be this talented, to skate with better balance and agility than all of us can walk is not normal.

That power play sequence is insane 🤯Celebrini is must watch TV. This video actually does his game justice.
@eryeyifyАй бұрын
This is one game lmao. Watching him play is mind bending. I genuinely don’t know if I’ve seen such a dominant force as a kid. Some young stars have offense, few have defense, some can do zone entries or win puck battles, some back check and forecheck well. but this kid does it all and he doesn’t really have off games and if he does he is still one of the best and most noticeable players on the ice in all 3 zones. Talented, consistent, competitive. You can’t compare him to some of the greats just yet but as far as 18 year old seasons idk if seen this before.

@3lackavarАй бұрын
He's way more complete than Matthews. Matthews is a better scorer but he doesn't have the 200ft game Mack has. Mack is more a Toews/Kane/Bergeron hybrid.

@3lackavar ummm...what? Lol
@CanadianBongRipperАй бұрын
To me he's like a Temu version of Crosby. Really similar game
@tonybleau6219Ай бұрын
@@CanadianBongRipper Temu? He's even more complete than Crosby at the same age, honestly. Crosby was already a dominant offensive force though but as 18 year olds, they're on the same tier. Celebrini is 1st in puck battle wins, 1st in controlled zone entries per game (over McDavid and MacKinnon), top 5 in 1v1 dekes completed, highest clocked speed for a u23 player in the NHL right now. He's also hovering around 50% faceoffs. The kid is unbelievable.

Thanks for posting. This kid looks like the real deal, two way super skilled and only 18. Impressed with his D and willingness to go to the dirty areas on the ice. Because of that, I hope the Sharks get an enforcer to “keep the flies off him”!!!
