I own an Ambrogio Tech D1 for 2 years now and I find it an absolute rubbish machine: 1. The app on IOS is so bad that you cannot connect to the machine at all. The only support I get is: “ Please update the app” 2. The knives are dull quite quickly and they dare to charge EUR 45,- for a small peace of stanless steel that cannot be sharpened or serviced. Prepare for an added annual cost of EUR 135,- for a 150m2 lawn 3. The machine tends to dig itself into the garden when it bumps into something, leaving 2 small holes of the size of a tire everywere on your lawn. Hope this helps anyone to make a sane discision and prevent them from throwing away EUR 1500,- on the most expensive brick in your garden.

Odd that robot mowers are not 21” diameter like a normal mower and those pussy razor blades. What gives. And thousands of dollars.

This is quite a biased review - nothing positive in any way about the Kress machine?! When you then go on your website and see you sell Ambrogio but not Kress - kind of defeats the whole purpose of the video when it’s not objective.
@mowermagic24 күн бұрын
Ambrogio is NOT a sponsor of this video. We are honest about the specs and features of both robots. Whether or not Kress is reliable only time will tell.

Hi, but is it possible to replace (on the 2015 RC312) ONLY THE FRONT WHEEL with the shaped pin (not the whole group as shown in the video)? Since they sell it separately (and I bought it) I really can't figure out how to remove the old wheel...

the sound stops when youre over the wire, but the stops at the break. seems like it should be inverted, beeping when it detects the wire and silent when it doesnt.

I like to mow WITHOUT a grass box is that ok when using this (43) model
@mowermagic2 ай бұрын
Hi there, The Hayter Hawks are designed to be used with the grassbox, to maximise the stripes left on the lawn. This is how we recommend for it to be used whilst mowing.

Have had this mower for about a year. The first couple of times I used it it was great, but then the engine power was not as when I first bought it. having used it twice this year the self-propelled has stopped working altogether, I probably have used this mower about 12 times since purchase.

Does anything changed in 2024? Because according to the doc, the Ambrogio Twenty Deluxe need a perimeter wire while the Honda Miimo HRM 40 doesn't. Seems weird to compare those two then. I have experience in setting up a perimeter wire. This is nightmare and if you really want to take care of your lawn by using a scarifier from time to time, it is impossible for cable. All this to say, I wouldn't care to have a lower built quality like the Honda if it saves me from having to deal with this perimeter wire.
@mowermagic2 ай бұрын
Hi there, thanks for your comment! After a closer inspection, the Honda Miimo HRM 40 still needs a perimeter wire, according to their online website. When setting up the perimeter wire, we don't usually have problems with scarifying, but it can vary from lawn to lawn, and how the wire has been laid.

I've had the 430x for about 5 years now. I've had so many issues over the years and that's without even boundary wire issues. Only thing is now that I can fix just about any problem with it from experience. And never again would I pay for firmware updates, caused more problems than sorted

Robust looking machine 👌. What model is it , and is it ok to cut grass at this height as it looks like a first cut ?!..
@mowermagic2 ай бұрын
Hi there, This is the Ambrogio 4.0 Elite. The Robot had been set off to mow before the grass got too long, so it was okay to cut. But if we had left it for another week, we'd have to trim the grass a little.

This product can be for anyone, we believe that it is for people who want to be able to spend more time in the garden relaxing! It's also a good alternative for people who want to have a nice lawn but can't use garden machinery.

Ever since I first discovered the 4WD Ambrogio mowers through the Mower Magic KZbin channel a couple of years ago, I've been mulling over my own installation project on a similar acreage to yours. Maybe 2024 will be the year I finally go for it! Many thanks for your precious demonstrations and thoughtful advice, and may you have a great green year ahead!

We run an Ambrogio, much better built/sophisticated all round. But the app is notoriously unreliable, often non-functional.
@snowberryrain2 ай бұрын
Couldn't agree more. Ambrogio remote app is crappy. Very often it is not possible to connect with the robot (maybe it's the robots problem, I don't know...). In the video they say that it is possible to control your ambrogio via app from anywhere the world. But actually it isn't true. It is possible to control the robot just in the bluetooth range.
@skidco12 ай бұрын
@@snowberryrain Yes, we often need to be within 6 feet of the mower to get any connectivity.
