A brilliant performance! The inspiration of Mendelssohn is present in every phrase of the composition. Also, I am fascinated by the digital partitions on Ipads. How do the "pages" turn themselves? Is there some sort of musical recognition software? I would like to know how to buy this software.
@JamesOesi3 ай бұрын
Thank you! And I use a pedal to turn the pages! :)

@@JamesOesi Thank you for letting me hear this work for the first time. Too bad Bottesini didn't write the second and third movements. For me, the Mendelssohn is the most perfect of the romantic violin concertos.

Man, I gotta say, as someone who used to play the sting bass The finger strength and dexterity (especially with your stance) and talent that you have... you are exceptional. It almost sounds like a cello! Once I have the funds to afford a decent bass, I'll try again. I dont think I'll ever bee this good, bud damned if I dont try

1st-Excellent presentation & interpretation!!!! 2nd-a question- is your string height actually as high as it appears?? How do you prevent bow noise of other string when climbing up the D string above the octave??? Sincerely curious!!! Thank you!!!
@JamesOesi Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! And yes, my strings indeed were quite high - I have since had them lowered a bit. The angle of the bridge was good though which meant that it was still possible to avoid hitting both strings at once by keeping my bow close to the bridge in the highest positions on the D string. Hopefully that explanation makes sense!
