the glued CDC is a great idea for wings on stone patterns! Also like the dubbing loop for using some of the CDC that often doesn't get used as much as the tips. Nice pattern! Gave me some ideas for stonefly patterns native to my area.

Real nice looking , but , I must agree with the guy who said you covered the eye . No way that a line is gonna go through that , but I give a thumbs up , because the hot glue trick is great, the fly looks incredible . just leave a few mm extra to finish the head next time .

YOU , I CANNOT EVEN SEE THE EYE OF THE HOOK.It can not be tied onto the line.How can anyone fish this. It's pretty but pretty does not catch fish.....
@SevroAuBarca042 жыл бұрын
Tie the materials a little bit further back so you leave the eye exposed? Duh you idiot

I'm sure it's perfectly effective, but I have some reservations. Why tie in the biots at the start? They're just in the way. The body material is very weak and needs ribbing or glue/resin for protection. Why strip half the hackle? You paid good money for that feather and threw half away for no discernable reason. Lastly, I notice the dressing rotating on the shank, and you re-position it more than once. That means to me that your thread turns are not tight enough, the whole thing is not properly secured. Not trying to get at you, maybe your flies are great attractors and I'm sure you're a better angler than me, but some of your tying practices are not a great example and it wouldn't take much to sort them out.

Thanks for the comments, better to have them than not, my interest is to provide an interpretation of the wing pocket with the biots in addition to giving more stability in the water. I don't want to burden this emerging fly with glues or resins, actually even the hackle is too bulky ...

@@ezioceleschi 😆I just noticed I made a comment on another of your videos which was semi-critical. Sorry. I won’t do it again. Maybe I’ll upload something for you to let loose on. Watch this space. But seriously, it is nice to get compliments on your flies, but that’s not my style. I’ve been making them for nearly fifty years, and if I think someone could do better I’ll say. If I think it’s crap I’ll say nothing.
