Hi so I just found out I have missing acoustic nerve in my left ear I have known I am deaf on that side but was looking forward to getting a cochlear implant and that’s not in the cards I’m just wondering about auditory implant

This is most informative and excellent educational KZbin video I have seen for sudden hearing loss and cochlear implant process. I am so grateful that Dr. Wagner shared his story and knowledge with us. I have had sudden sensory hearing loss in the left ear and right ear with profoundly hearing loss. I have been through a traumatic journey of losing hearing that put me in depression and anxiety for 10 months. I am now in a process of getting a CI implant on my left ear at Kaiser in July 2023. I was scare and uncertain of how CI can improve my hearing but Dr. Wagner video provided valuable information that ease my anxiety of CI implants. I am for ever grateful of Dr. Wagner information and I hope my journey to CI implant is as successful as his. Thank you Dr. Wagner, you saved my life, my mental health but most importantly you provided hope for a quality of life after cochlear.

Buen día Mi hijo tiene un diagnóstico de Lesión Vestibular Bilateral Todo el día está mareado hay ausencias, Sensación de Movimiento en las cosas Ya le realisaron un Electronistagmografia Ausencias de Nistagmus espontáneo ni postura aun con la inhibición Visual, prueba sin dismetrias, rastreo sinusoides normal, Nistagmus optocinetico simétrico y organizado bilateral.... Prueba térmica OD 1min 40 seg intensidad dsiminuida OI 1min 45 seg intensidad disminuida Le dieron de tratamiento a mi hijo Cinaricina con Dimenhidrinato, y Control Lp

Informative but is it really a disease? I am suffering from it and I feel that it was due to a past incident decade ago where I was assaulted and the person hit me on my left ear but I am not sure if that's the reason or something else. Giovanni was saying that shouldn't go for stapedectomy if you have fixed stapes as high risk for dead ear. I have fixed stapes, I am 34, my ear has worsened since last decade and I am just wondering if it will worsen over the years, would hearing aid suffice or would need surgery? If surgery then would it be dangerous?
