The ADF has mostly switched to using the face coverings over camo paint. I don't think it's officially doctrine but just the individual choosing because it gives a little protection from dust combined with the sun protection and camo that face paint offers but it's far easier to remove where as face paint if only camo with UV protection and can take days to come off on it's own and can be "painful" to scrub off..

It's to stop sunburn and wind burn, nothing to do with being "special" champ. Everyone gets issued face wraps these days.

I think it is great that Australian Military Units,,, Usually Infantry/special forces,,,Are training Ukraine Fighters,,,I believe the Australians are using 7•62 mm 30 round magazines,,I agree with this more hitting power,,,30 rounds is better than 20 round. Magazines....The Machine Guns look lighter than Mag 58 s,,,now I am showing my Age,,,, Could you put a M203 on some of those Rifles,,,,Would they work in a Urban Situation???? Anyhow thankyou for the insights😊

Stop wasting our tax dollars on training foreign soldiers and address the reasons why the ordinary Australian doesn’t wanna join the ADF. It’s because there’s no upside, it’s got a toxic inner culture and now add the constant funding and training of foreign militaries over our own its why we have lost faith in our military

Having foreign symbols over our unit colours on Australian uniforms is a problem. Australia isn’t Ukraine nor will it benefit in the slightest via supporting Ukraine. It only puts a target on us. And wastes our tax dollars for something on the other side of the world

Fantastic video; one of the best I've seen. Was there, at Beersheba, for the 90th Anniversary of the charge. There's an Australian father and son buried in the grave yard. It's a reminder of both what 'victory' can cost; but seeing them laying there also reminded me to always honour their sacrifice, whilst living life to the fullest. It's the only way I can thank them, more than 100 years later.

Formerly 14 Fd Bty 11 Fd Regt. On L-115 Hamel Guns. Watching the lads un bog the gun brought back the memories for me. Similar situation at Tin Can Bay on a Live Fire Ex. Bogged a gun and two Unimogs. Hamels are way smaller than these, but still a pain in the butt to un-bog. A great video, not only to see how much has changed with the RAA since the 90's, but for the memories it brought back.

A beautiful piece of documentary film. I'm eternally proud and grateful to live in the nation built by my forebears and I'm proud of all the Diggers who wear the uniform today. We've got a brilliant, generous country; one that prides itself on its defence of freedoms. Today, we see that is one of our greatest legacies. I'm enormously proud that Australia doesn't only defend its own sovereign rights but those of others as well. Lest We Forget.
