This is a great video tbh, I play venture and Kiriko and the fundies for both characters are basically the same. I'm still in sliver but i'm only 3 days in and last season and I can see me already making progress. I use to be too scared to practice her because of people talking shit but just watching this video gives me the strength to reach my goals and be a better player. Thanks for uploading this and I cant wait for future uploads and streams!

I genuinely try to do all of this, but I feel like if I'm not basically up my teams ass to heal them, they drop like flies. Even when I'm taking off angles and distracting people it feels like I'm accomplishing nothing. I could get 1 kill for flanking at the expense of 2 or 3 if not my entire team dying leaving me in a fight by myself. However if I'm with my team healing while also trying to get damage, it feels like the other team is always just better and wipes out most of my team leaving us in an uneven fight.
@SeanadoFPS4 ай бұрын
I would recommend watching Awkward's newest video on the four step plan - the amount of opportunities for flanking has definitely decreased recently. It's still important to focus on doing as much damage as possible though. Also, make sure your rotations are fast - a lot of players spend too long flanking. Even just taking some steps to the side of your team is an off angle and will distract enemies for your team.
@Ninjakicks154 ай бұрын
@@SeanadoFPS I've seen all of Awkward's videos on Kiriko. I'm almost always at an off angle to the side of my team or taking high ground. I try to always have natural cover when I can and try to stay close to health packs. I get almost no opportunities to flank because as in my last comment, if I leave my team for more than 5 seconds it seems like most of them die crazy fast so I usually make my rotations very quick cus if I don't, then I'm basically by myself or with 1 other teammate. Of course this isn't every game but it feels like that's the average. I still get as much damage as possible and I still make good plays that definitely leads to winning team fights. It just feels like more often then not the enemy team is just way better then the teams I'm on. Or I'm constantly on teams that basically just argue with each other the whole match.

@@connorriordan875 I asked another top 10 Kiriko player, they said you don't flank and stuff as much anymore, but focus on healing and looking at your tank. If you have a dive tank, then stay with your dps. I've been winning so much more after that advice. I guess try to get your fox 🦊 as much as possible! Good luck! ❤️🦊 You still off angle as much as you can, though.

@SeanadoFPS4 ай бұрын
After giving it some time, I can definitely say the amount of opportunities you have to flank in a game has decreased - you have to be a little more intelligent with picking your flanks but you should still aim to do as much damage as possible and constantly off angle - even if you're a few steps to the side of teammates. Would recommend watching Awkward's newest video on the four step plan.

@methlord765 ай бұрын
im tired of seeing this, if your team is focused on winning the game theyll see how youre playing and adapt often depending on whether ur getting value or not. anyway they will have to adapt to win even if you were throwing so just focus on getting better at your hero and make it less about winning in the early stages of shifting your play style. you will have to be bad to be good your team is not an excuse for your progression or lack of

Stats are a good guideline but can be misleading. Judge your performance on whether you won/lost the game/fight, how you died, etc. You may be tunnel visioning on doing damage too much to start with, but that's OK, get good at doing damage, then recognise if you are going too far and tone it back a notch.

I target whoever needs healing at the time - who's actually at risk of dying. If multiple teammates need healing focus the ones that are most likely to die (out of cover, being focused)

I think there is a fundamental difference in season 10 now. Carrying with off angles doesn’t work as much anymore. More team oriented in my opinion. You should try to make one for this season, maybe after all the tank buffs
@SeanadoFPS7 ай бұрын
Balance patches can make minor changes to certain interactions but overall the fundamentals of how you should play Kiriko stay the same imo. I might play some support on my twitch when I have more time in the future so check that out :). Also important to remember that just because a patch promotes more teamwork, that won't necessarily be the reality in ranked games.
@aerz84206 ай бұрын
Definitely not if she's doesn't take off angles how can Kiri apply pressure you necessarily need to get kills forcing key cool downs such as Suzu lamp etc with just your primary fire is insane value and getting the enemy to look at you allows your team to engage for free. This if you aren't playing Kiri like this you are probably playing her like h healbot with occasional kunais being thrown

It's about timing, especially when you're playing against dive heroes. Make sure you're timing the angles with your team fighting the enemy, it will force the enemy to make a difficult choice. If you find yourself consistently getting punished after using TP, consider taking less aggressive angles. Wall climb to buy time too.

You mention all the way down in season 9, after time has passed do you still feel that way? With dps passive and more HP I feel you need to flank less and heal more… thoughts?
@SeanadoFPS9 ай бұрын
Quite the opposite imo. The new DPS passive makes healing even weaker. Sometimes, you have to recognise that healing a teammate is a dead end (especially a tank that is taking fire from 3 or more enemies because you can't outheal that) and you need to make an aggressive play in order to win the fight. Distracting enemies still remains the best way to take pressure off of your teammates.
@obvious_things9 ай бұрын
awesome video, but you did one mistake: play style from high rank doesnt work in low. In low rank 99% of your time you should heal, cuz your teammates take too much damage all the time. When you going to flank, they instant dead ( 1:17:45 perfect example )

One of the biggest bits of advice with playing like this is kinda an addition to your tunnel vision advice. Basically, don't get greedy. If that final kunai will cost you your life or a teammate's life it's not worth it. Primary objective is always to keep everyone breathing IMO.

This knowledge, it's all good you share this thing to your audience, yet it would be honorable to make at least some references to the guy who created such video first. I'd like to hear in this vid something like "Well I saw this thing on another guy's channel(here goes lil logo of that channel) and I have the link to that thing in description" And then you go telling them this 4 step line 1 engage the enemy 2 do it from off-angle 3 close the distance(for better shot) 4 when things go bad - tp out The main task is distraction(while they looking at you, they don't shoot your team and thus u don't need even heal cause no one of getting damaged.
