In the manhwa, it seemed more like Jinwoo provoked Kim to attack him so that he could justify killing him - cause he knew he needed him to defeat the elf boss. At least that is how I read it.

Kim last name Chul actually means Iron so thats why Jinwoo called him Iron

The anime skips a lot of content thats not 100% necessary but it does make you miss A LOT of context so i will fill in the blanks about his power as his new class Shadow Monarch So Random Info dump for the uninitiated His power is the ability to call most living beings back from the dead a bit weaker than they were alive ( about 50% weaker from the novel manwha skips this as well) with a few exceptions things that are stronger than him and some more exceptions you will find out later(spoilers). He stores them within his shadow which is a pocket dimension. The amount he can hold is directly tied to his intelligence stat and there is no upper limit as long as he can keep leveling and keep his mp up. ( no it doesnt make him smarter) They constantly regenerate if they are damaged as long as Jinwoo has mana or MP he can re-summon them as well. The cost of each summon is dependent on the shadow's individual levels igris currently is level 7 his strongest shadow by a mile. later on when his level gets higher he will get some new powers that allow him to do some cool things with his shadows i wont spoil that for you. he has other powers like stealth and rulers touch. That he got from other things via the system.

the fight with dongsu will take some time , im not gonna spoil it for you but there is alot you can look foward in this season. if they keep covering the same amount of chapterts each episode, season two will end almost mid way of the whole story

Idk what’s crazier about this episode, the fact that we now know 100% jinwoo isn’t human, or that humans are just another part of the system like the monsters. He could revive Kim the same as any enemy

At the end of this episode, Jinnwoo levels are around 62, and on par with basic S-rank. That's why he can just ignore Baek's order. Bcs he knows, he can fight basic S-rank like Baek at that moment.

To clarify, Jinwoo was referring to it being the 3rd time he had to kill a human. First being Hwang Dongsuk’s strike team, second being Kang Taeshik and now Kim Chul being the 3rd time. There’s definitely more hype episodes to come. 🥰

In the anime adaptation, Jinwoo's kick happens so fast that it's almost imperceptible and easy to miss for most anime viewers. Jinwoo planned to make the A-Rank hunter attack him from the start, as he focused on an unconscious Kim Chul when he thought about getting a new shadow and pusposely kicked the sword next to him to provoke him.anime makes it seem that he just predicted that Kim Chul would attack him in revenge so he could kill him in legitimate self-defense.

It's the third occasion where he has killed someone, that's what Jinwoo meant. Though he killed multiple people in the C-rank dungeon, that was the first occasion, and obviously the second was Kang Taeshik.

Its good that u guys acknowledged that what Jinwoo did was still a bit messed up not just killing him even if Kim was coming at him which will hopefully be explored well in the anime

FYI : the kasaka dagger which Jin uses poison & paralysis buff only works on certain low ranked enemies & magic beasts ..if the opponents strength is too high or far from the wielders strength then the resistance to the buff also equally high for enemies its gets neutralized. 10:38

He had to kill kim chul n arise him bcz he needed stronger force to defeat barca otherwise if he lost then a red gate dungeon break would happen with lot casualities. Something about shadows personality seems like as you saw kim in human form was not funny but his shadow is funny. It seems the shadowbsouls are not exact human soul rather a void with its own personality.

Just so you know Jinwoo is currently at the S rank realm but still in the lower end of it. The anime cut out the White Tiger GM thoughts after his conversation with Jinwoo: he thought that if he had to fight him he should be prepared to lose a limb. Shows that he still considers himself stronger but he thinks of him as someone close to his level.

The six people is counted as the first time he killed. The second time is when killed the assassin association person. The third time is Kim Chul - Rank A in this red gate incident. He's counting the time not the people.

3:20 , no he's not in Japan. The story took place in Korea, It was light novel adaptation to manhwa to anime. It's not from manga. Jinwoo is korean and other characters as well, same as Dong Soo, he's korean but got recruited to a guild from america. Same as well if any money mention, it's in won. if it's million or billion it's in won. 2 million won is not equivalent to 2 million dollars. Other currencies exist. This was frustrating to see no one corrected or even mentioning about this from season 1. After finishing season 1, you should know by now it's a korean story unless you are watching in Japan. There are two versions of solo leveling anime, one is for japanese audience other one is for global audience. They change the names and locations which confused even the japanese audience when they saw some reactor why the name was different. Japan hates Korea and Korea hates Japan. This will happen later on of the story. Solo leveling fans including myself scared the Japanese studio gonna ruin the story before the anime was made. It's not solo leveling anymore if you changed the story. Well they did change it but only for Japanese audience. Jeju Island were changed to something else. I saw one reactor channel who watched from not legal website the japanese version anime, You need to watch from crunchyroll to see the correct version and correct translation. Manhwa cuts out a lot of details from the light novel and anime cuts out a lot of details from the manhwa. If you are not solo leveling fans so you don't know the story and where it took place. In the manhwa Jinwoo kicked Kim Chul's sword to him when he was unconscious so he can bait him to attack him and kill him in the name of self defense just to use him. He's more cold blooded than you think. Jinwoo got toned down in the anime from season 1, some scenes got cut out. So yeah I am one of the old and original solo leveling fans who read the manhwa and light novel years back before the anime even came out. New solo leveling fans can binge reading the manhwa but the old ones read the manhwa for years to finish reading it. So yeah i am just simply frustrated to see the misinterpreted information . I am just another one of the original solo leveling fans. I noticed that people watching some other reactors as well , hundreds of views, or thousands of views but no comment, so yeah it's that easy to get wrong information or misconception when no one corrected you.

Just to give some clarity. Jinwoo going into this dungeon was approximately mid A Rank, coming out he's low S Rank. Igris is probably high A Rank. Barka is probably mid(ish) S Rank. Jinwoo (if I remember correctly) can only "arise" monsters that are lower "level" than he is... someone can correct me on this if I'm wrong. There is a reason Jinwoo was able to "arise" Igris, even though at the time Igris was stronger than him... I'll let the story tell why though, so as not to spoil anything. Great vid :)
