Haha, wasn't going to stop til she took that machete. Its a fun little game with some cool easter eggs calling back to the movies.

The main thing is getting all 4 ghosts after getting the power pellet, as the score for the first ghost is 200, and doubles for each, so getting all 4 ghosts on one power pellet is worth 3000 points. Do this 3 times, and get other pellets and any fruit you can to reach 10k. Also, you need to make sure all ghosts have returned back to the center box before grabbing the next power pellet, or they wont be effected by it.

Good question, it would if the runs were timed using IGT (in game time), but since Splatterhouse 2 doesn't feature a timer we use RTA (real time attack) and doesn't permit stopping the timer for such slowdowns. Pretty much we just accept that those time losses are inherent and factored into every run.

@@JayoftheDead you could also find out exactly to the second how long each cinema and transition is and then subtract that time from your finished-game time amount.

sometimes just can't beat a CRT

I remember they had it on the wii virtual console, and its unlockable in the 2010 remake, but I would love a re release of it. Would be perfect if they did it for the 30 year anniversary this year.

It's pretty good. Always been a fan of what they could do on the NES

Definitely easy compared to some other games of the time. There were some enemies with cheap hits, but with the right character nothing too difficult.

The graphical differences were pretty limited to his mask and a few religious references. The hard mode is nice to have, but the series idea of difficulty is just giving less health
