Con Cahill al suo fianco Sinner è migliorato moltissimo, soprattutto nell'atteggiamento mentale. Adesso si vede un giocatore con la sicurezza di sapere che quando gioca bene può battere chiunque. E personalmente vedo, a differenza di altri giovani giocatori già affermati, ulteriori potenzialità di miglioramento. Di questo passo credo che avremo finalmente un italiano al numero 1 del ranking.

Absolutely agree. This was a mastermind example from Sinner. Did not know he had it in him to come up with this stuff at 0:40 . In particular the first point - long rally with Djokovic. On another note, it had been almost scary since that moment. It had been Djokovic who pulled off those sensational comebacks - against Federer twice (?) in a GS final ,. Wimnbledon and RG I believe ? Now Sinner. Well done. And kudos to Djokovic for showing he suffers mere mortal challenges like any of us. Makes him so much more sympathetic.

I didn’t think that Sinner was capable of beating one of the (remaining) big three (Djokovic, Federer, Nadal), but after having lost the first three encounters with Djokovic, he has now won 2 of the last 3 matches against him. He has greatly improved his serve recently, and I believe that this is the reason why he is winning matches that he previously lost. Djoko is still my favourite player, but it’s great to see young players challenging him at this high level. 🎾👍🎾

Huge match, worthy of a Grand Slam final. As an Italian, great respect for Djoko. Sports are crazy, and Tennis is the craziest sport that I know. I remember that, in 1976, Adriano Panatta won the "Italian Internationals Championships" (and, then, won Roland Garros) canceling 11 match points to Warwick and 1 match point to Hutka.

@@marcopulega7036 You observed correctly. I do not watch many matches - only follow a few players. But I watch everyone of Jannik's matches and will be going to Kooyong to watch him play next year. Saving three match-points and then forging ahead to win the match made it the best match for me.

Ha talmente vinto tanto che se viene battuto da un giovane di valore come Jannik Sinner dopo una partita del genere può ritenersi comunque soddisfatto.Il suo palmares rimarrà nella storia del tennis,non c è bisogno di rimarcare tutto ciò che ha vinto solo perché è stato battuto.Bisogna pure accettare che alla sua età potrebbe perdere un po' più spesso... è un essere umano anche lui.
