Did you get much rain?
@BradGryphonnАй бұрын
@bonnie_tonic It dumped about 25 mm I 40 minutes, I guess. And inch or so. It was intense for about 20 minutes with some microscopic pea size hail. Apparently, the hail was bigger to the east of us on the coast. The storm came from the south south west.

Yay storms
@BradGryphonnАй бұрын
@abighairyspider This was cool. Dumped some rain and gave a nice sound show. Apparently it got worse east of us. Big hail and wild winds. We are on the Lee side of the steep Ridge, so we generally get rain and a bit of wind if it comes from the west.

I could almost feel how tough that stick on the table was just from the sound. Once you've wailed away at some stubborn old piece of hard wood, you seldom forget the experience. 😡

Hehe. Yep. I wasn't expecting it to be that tough. The tree I was chopping was a guava (they grow like weeds here), which are also quite hard.

@@BradGryphonneek. We’re getting ready to celebrate Independence Day on July 4th and it’s been super hot, super dry…. Fireworks stands on every corner outside of our city… Warnings all over the radio and tv, but many fires will surely happen here.
I've probably said it before, but that grain is fascinating... good job lining it up so neatly on the two halves. That's definitely something I wouldn't be able to do! Seeing the finished knife in your hands, I would've thought it too small for any chopping, but then again, it'd be about the same overall size as my leuku, so it probably handles small chopping tasks just as well. Also, that rain ASMR at 11:30 on... that brings back memories!
@BradGryphonn3 ай бұрын
Thank you. Yeah, it seems small, but works surprisingly well as a chopper. I'll definitely do some xhopping and feathersticking etc later today.

That button lock Civivi looks like it might be an Altus? Envious of that Vendetta! I've got the Fred Perrin take on the pattern, which is more like a pointy Douk-Douk. Yeah, Paul. I hadn't used or cleaned it out for over a month. I hooked it into mains power and set both sides to -18C. It was far worse than even this video shows. I had already removed the fish carcasses (in bags), and a lot of the frozen vegetables and the frozen lemons. I'll shoot a quick video in a minute of it all cleaned up.
