I really love this. is there a possibility it will be on spotify or anything?
@MaryJamesMusic2 күн бұрын
@@BlackHawkstR Probably Bandcamp, but I also considered Soundcloud. I won't upload anything to streaming services like Spotify, they doesn't support us, which mean just more work. (I had tons of problems with them in the past). Also, paintings are not copyright free on my country, so, I'll do more work by doing covers (as I do on Bandcamp). About the piece, it will be for a book of 85 preludes, so, a complete release will not be soon.

Sometimes, the youtube algorithm recommends videos like this to me and I am simply in awe of the talent and beauty I come across. I had a very hard night. This beautiful and complex melancholic improvisation is exactly what I needed. From one musician to another - never give up. You have something special. Never let someone take that away from you.

[Large comment] First of all, I hope you are doing well by the time you read this, if not, I hope everything gets better. Moving on, I feel very lucky to have these kinds of comments on my channel, as I simply only see music as a language. I must say that I'm not going through my best moment either (as I had said in my last post on the community tab), that day I was tired and I just started playing the piano to relax things a bit that day. My goal is to express my own feelings. Regardless of what they are. Did I get a hug? I write about it; Did I see the sky? I write about it; Did I have a bad day? I write about it; Did I have a great day? I write about it; Did someone break up with me after having had a beautiful relationship and having sent years of effort and hopes for a future to hell? I write about it; Am I still not over him? I write about it; Did I cry? Of course I write about it. Since even the less interesting thing of the normal life, with some attention, let me develop what I do. I've always felt that a lot of music fails to represent an emotion well, so, following the philosophy (which I probably only follow) of "if you don't like what's there, create your own", I set out to dig deep into each of the elements of music. I don't like complexity, so even though I use a 6+5/8 time signature alternating with a 6/4 one and then a 5/16 one, modulating to modal or exotic scales on each chord, I simply try to make my music easy to listen to. My use of musical language is intended to be easy for the ear to understand, regardless of the elements I use. I'm not an intellectual elitist. What matters to me is that the listener receives the same emotions and feelings that I have conveyed and put forward. "This doesn't sound like this scale," "this genre is really not appropriate, better call it that," "you sound like such-and-such composer from the that-and-these period." I don't care. These comments don't contribute anything relevant and I ignore them, as they are really insignificant to what my work is intended to be.

Thank you!, but I'm sure I can do better than this, because I think I used the I-IV-I cliché a lot. There are 79 preludes left (I composed one recently), so, expect pieces that are more wonderful than this one in the future, because the only thing I have for the present is silence.

He gave instructions, a samba or rag in E minor, it must modulate to the relative major at some point, which was the final chord lol (this was unexpected, I forgot that rule, but by impulse I put a G major as final chord)

In strict words, I play instruments. I have a keyboard and a violin. What I mean is that I'm not a performer anymore, I lost my skills on violin, and never got good at piano. But, I know how to write for them, specially for strings, were I use advanced techniques. (La Cathédrale Engloutie is an example)

Glad I stomped into you in Andrea Murrone's comment sections! Nice prelude. Scriabin thought B flat major was related to lust, and the music I composed in that tonality is too the most popular I have ahahah
