Well done on getting this right. Sorry about the guitar tuning which you have sussed out. We didn’t have a guitar tuner back in the day so tuning was approximate.

I think you could get more functionality from a Squier Strat. I think if you're willing to put some time to work on this guitar, it can turn it into a better playing instrument. The pickups are quite weak though depending on the application.

When you say tuned up 1/4 step does that mean your in F standard?

No, it's tuned somewhere between E and F. It's like 50 cents above 440 E.

The shirt clips are solid on genuine Blancs. The clip on your pen has a stamped clip. Serial numbers aren't on the clip, it's on the collar (top to the left of the M). Printing on the inside of the clip should say "Made in Germany". The metal bands on the pen are too bright and shiny. (they should be darker), the snowflake is too chubby, and rounded). Also, genuine pens will have a 6 sided snowflake.

very cool man, one question. How do you change effects mid-song using a VST??

If you're recording, you can easily turn on and off effects at different parts by using automation. You can automate the entire VST plugin or parts within (in this case effects) of the plugin. If I was doing this live or wanted to do it all in one go where I physically turn on/off the effects, you can use a foot midi controller that would work like a "digital pedalboard." So that way while recording and playing, you can turn them off. In either case, I played this all the way through as one take with no cuts or edits. What I'm hearing in the headphones I'm pretty sure is just the amp with no effects.

I don't think anyone is trying to get "the real deal" out of a guitar plugin 😂 Hard to beat the amount of refinement and tweakability things like bias FX offers for the money, I'm sure someone has gotten way closer to the tones on the different albums
