I would like to be there. It sounds so peaceful.

It sure can be, although there are the occasional noisy days with farm machinery, trucks, motorcycles, planes and chainsaws. We're so glad to be able to share some of this nice day with you!

That's quite the operation. Is the cart solar powered? Also, Where do the sheep get water?
@Sheepmovers
@Sheepmovers 2 ай бұрын
Great questions! Yes, the cart is solar powered, there are three panels that make the roof and they charge the battery for the fence energiser. We intend to make a video all about the cart some day soon. The dam (pond) supplies the water for the sheep, it's pumped with a solar pump to a tank on the highest point on the property, and gravity flows down to watering points across the farm. We will show off that system in a future video as well if you like. :)

Is Vicky little terror's mama? They look exactly like.
@Sheepmovers
@Sheepmovers 2 ай бұрын
You'd think so, hey. Little Terror's Mom is actually Stella, who looks nothing like him! That's the thing about Harlequins, they don't necessarily put out what you put in. The black head comes from the Dorper side of their genetics more than the Persian side.

Hey Amanda and Marty Hope you read the comments. Really enjoying the videos. Wondering what the green half round things are for. Like the one Amanda was moving. Some sort of rain protection?
@Sheepmovers
@Sheepmovers 2 ай бұрын
Hi Arnie, the half round green things are wind/sun shelters for the sheep. Some areas they are moved into don't have any natural shelter so we move those around for them. Thanks for watching :)

Oooo are those Persian sheep? Love the flashy spots. A lot of sheep in my area are dull colored.
@Sheepmovers
@Sheepmovers 2 ай бұрын
You've got a good eye! These are Harlequin Mini Meat Sheep, which are a cross between the Dorper and Persian breeds (more Persian than Dorper). Most sheep around here are dull as well, Merino and "cross breeds" that look like Merino!

Is wether a male? Why the name?
@Sheepmovers
@Sheepmovers 2 ай бұрын
Hi Mom, "Wether" is the name given to a castrated male. We bought some wethers at the very start to keep Star (ewe) and Chillie (ram) company.

Is Karen the boss ?
@Sheepmovers
@Sheepmovers 2 ай бұрын
Hi Mom, Karen acts like the boss! We think she may be the boss of the ewes but Chillie (the ram) is the boss of the flock.
