Another excellent video The trip from Warwick to Wallangarra is fascinating. I was lucky enough to do it a few years back before the advent of the travelling petrol tanker. Also was allowed to ride on the end platform as well which made it a great day out I have looked at the line from Goondiwindi to Warwick, it seems to have lots of grades to tax the backs of the firemen

Well we did head to the beach .. he was the only one prepared .. I think he also had his surf board in the guards van .. Lol .. cheers

Great work, Ross! Those QR C17s were the basis for our NM Class locomotives in South Australia. They’re almost identical in design. The Commonwealth Railways took inspiration from around the country when designing their locomotives. Great to see the C17s still going strong. They have the exact same beat and whistle chorus as our NM 25 at Pichi Richi Railway! Magnificent! I’ve subbed as well. Regards, Caleb

Thanks, panning is a forever learning process I reckon .. Lol ... been using Aussie Miller Tripods since 1988 when ever I can easily transport the weight. The camera is a Panasonic AG CX10, a small broadcast/documentary camera that I brought last year to broadcast my youngest sons wedding during Covid Interstate lock downs to all the relatives interstate and overseas. Still learning, was and is a bigger learning curve than I expected, and quite a step up from my Sony PXW-X70 which has been a great camera for many years. Cheers.

I cannot see another loco as good as Scotsman coming back to Australia, they went broke .. OHS doesn't allow run pasts any more let alone on the main line. Since the over reaching safety has been introduced in Australia I found NZ was good to do Steam trips with plenty of run pasts and set backs but even they are getting a lot tighter. So for Australia it was Once in a Lifetime and we are lucky to have been on it and I am thankful I managed to get some video footage to relive it.
