I wish calm for the next mechanic, next brake shoe replacement will be a headache with these welded bolts... rivets are soo easy to remove

The welding method described is quite common in small auto repair shops, especially when they lack riveting equipment. In these cases, brake pads are often secured with screws, but screws can easily come loose. Therefore, welding is used to secure them, and a backing plate is welded on the back to prevent loosening. When it's time to replace the brake pads again, the welded part can be easily removed with an electric chisel, so there's no need to worry.

интересный метод. в первый раз вижу. вопрос только в том что будет делать он в следующий раз? как срезать эти винты? изнутри не подлезть турбинкой. снаружи остатки накладки пилить только

А то, что болт в отверстии болтается это нормально?? Накладки провисят до первого торможения.. Хоть бы винты м8 под конусную шляпку применили чтоли

that's what we call a backyard mechanic if he worked for me, I'd fire him on the spot. That was the worst job I've ever seen didn't clean. None of the parts didn't take everything apart. Didn't replace everything he had to heat up the pins for the brakes. That is unbelievable I'd fire them in a heartbeat no way I would ever hire anybody that performs work that bad
