On the side with the grommets is this done on the side where we put the strip for the pleats? As in the side where the hooks go? I got confused there and I don’t want to mess up. Also thank you for sharing this video ❤
@WeekendswithWinnie2 ай бұрын
The grommets side is now the bottom. The pleat tape is attached to the bottom & now that’s the top of the curtain. Once you place the hooks in the pleat tape, the clip on the curtain rings clip onto the hooks. If this isn’t clear, let me know, I’ll create a short you

Thank-you Thank-you for the no sew video now i am super excited to change up my grommett ikea curtains i really didn't want to pay $59 just to go without grommett when the grommett were $29 lol plus i loved the pattern. How long does the tape hold up?
@WeekendswithWinnie2 ай бұрын
It’s set by heat, make sure there is no water in your iron. When you wash your curtains, do not dry on high heat. I have used the hem tape for my pants and it’s lasted for the last 6 years. My curtains are still hanging beautifully for over a year! (It takes me a while to post content 😩)

Just saw the other video cutting the grommets genius idea i just got my grommett curtains from ikea and plan to so the same i love the pattern but hate the grommett i plan on having someone but the tabs on for me lol. 😊

I don't know why it didn't strike me to use the padded fabric between the grommets for the tabs, duh. Thanks for the idea. These work much better than plain unpadded fabric from the excess fabric.

@WeekendswithWinnie Жыл бұрын
Oh no, the holes would still be there. Plastic grommets will pop apart & metal grommets are not worth the trouble to remove.

Rustic is just not my style I did look at a good portion of this video. My style is a lot of glass and acrylic with glam. That first video with the Ballard dupe acrylic rod was definitely my style. My bathroom towel rods are acrylic, the ends of most of my curtain rods are acrylic, all my tables in the living room are glass including my dining table. I like sage green and silver accents. As I mentioned my bar cart has acrylic legs. I'm making shelves for my bathroom with acrylic rods I will do a video on that. Yes, acrylic and glass everywhere!!!

I just became your new best friend and hit that subscribe button. I purchased some pendant rods being discontinued 3 for $48 but in a different color because of the price. My plan is to spray paint them but I didn't think to use a primer first. Thanks for that tip because I'm painting them chrome.

Okay, girl, I'm loving your channel when I looked at the first video Ballard designs curtain rod from 2 years ago I said I hope she's still creating!!! Yes, yes, yes we think alike. I purchased some light fixtures from Lowe's one was being discontinued and the other was on sale very inexpensive at another location, but I found my globes and fuse light socket covers from Destination Lighting in Dallas they make my cheap light fixture look expensive. I think I will cover this on my channel also.

I agree with you 100% about the cost savings and getting the look you want. I love glass, acrylic and anything clear. I couldn't find a bar cart in my price range with acrylic legs so I'm creating my own and yes it's costly especially since I messed up gluing 2 of the legs, but I can use them for something else. I'm still making it and it will be on my channel but so WORTH it.
