That dragon in the mines is beatable on first encounter and im pretty sure you cant go back since the cave collapses, even if you could go back later the loot you get from beating it would probably only be good for a little bit before it gets out scaled, this is all just me making guesses I could be completely wrong when the full game drops.

That aside, pretty bold move of the King (who’s got the same name as Emet Selch’s best friend, who knew?) to try and force democracy in this world that previously was ruled by a King. Forden seems to be the church guy who was criticising Louis and he’s in the lead for now, but sadly Louis does have more noticeable charisma, a stronger message and appeals to the downtrodden. With seemingly no way of removing him from the running, what with the King’s magic preventing assassinations, it’s going to be a hard ask to overturn him. Fortunately since the ballot seems to be mental, there’s no real way to silence voters or prevent them from voting. All of this assumes that there are no loopholes in this election. Because if there are, you know that anyone smart enough to find them will exploit them to hell and back. This is going to be an interesting 4 months.

Oh, Hermes... my favorite character in this expansion. I really feel bad for him. I remember seeing someone write about how him as the chief overseer of Elpis is similar to someone today in our world that really loves animals and goes into the veterinary field. Both have the wrong type of love for life needed to find fulfillment in their jobs and end up suffering emotionally instead. Hence why Emet tells him "you do not belong here".

I know it’s said in some circles that “Humans are the true monsters”, but the Humans here are a little on the nose in that regard. With Archetypes being the unique power the protagonists have, I can’t help but notice that an Archetype is termed as something of a primal mental image of concepts and whatnot. So the Archetypes in the game in that sense seem to be abilities that summon characters that embody those concepts, like the new Seeker looking like the concept of the wandering traveller in stories. Which ties it all back into the fantasy and story themes. Very interesting. Also, seeing that tearing out the newly awakened user’s own heart is seemingly the new awakening method was a shock. Didn’t expect them to go all Aztec. Their heart being metal and shaped like a microphone that the protagonist spoke into to awaken may be them, “speaking from the heart”, stating loud and proud their beliefs and convictions. My Hype is only building for this game, release date can’t come soon enough.
