I alway passed my kids to other coaches for their sports. Except little lg at very young ages 5-10 a few times where I helpped coach a base or something in baseball or we did some personal talks about pole vaulting and film watching I never though it a good idea to coach my sons. I never wanted to have parent bias if I coached.

This is so cool. I vaulted in high-school back in the 70's. There is nothing like riding the bend and crossing the bar. Well done young man.

7” is really good as a seventh grader! I’m a seventh grader rn and something he could have worked on was getting a lower hold on the pole and pulling himself up further on the pull instead of kicking his legs over but gj!!!

He need to drive his knee harder and swing his hips up more vertically and turn at the end , try holding up high by about 2 or 3 hand lengths. Looks like he is also pulling which is why he can’t swing his hips work on that and you could vault so much higher!!! Great work.

Indigo, I own a 29ft Formula . If you haven't tried your tube using the booster ball, highly recommended. Keeps the rope out of the water, especially using a standard tow ring not mounted high a pole.

I am a high schooler and its my second year and i am pole vaulting 11'6 but the funny part is i dont have a coach to coach me in my event. I am self-taught and all i do is record myself and watch youtube video about it. My first year i couldnt even clear 7" lol. But you have a coach and thats good you are going to do big thing in high school if you stick with it.
