Valorant Patch 9.05 (september 10th, 2024): "Over the years we've heard player feedback that combat stim effects like Reyna's Empress can feel disruptive when spraying and it makes it harder to hit your shots. We've updated all buffs that increase your rate of fire to have consistent recoil control that matches the default rate of fire. This should allow players who are stimmed to utilize their learned muscle memory that they've built up from un-stimmed weaponry. This change only affects how the stims modify recoil without affecting the applied spread reduction". This included Brim's stim ability.

@@reilzy it mostly acts as a bullet sponge tbh. It can easily be destroyed before Reyna can peek if the enemy has a phantom. Same with a vandal, though it takes a bit longer

@@omarnasr113 he’s not a bad agent, though he’s easier to predict & punish, alongside that, he lacks mobility to effectively capitalize on his teammates supportive utility to quickly take space. The downside with duelists not having mobility is not only that their primary-entry potential diminishes, but they’re also unable to push up and play aggressive off-angles on defense because they lack a get-out-of-jail-free-card. For instance, if either Jett, Reyna, Raze, Yoru, or Neon were to push up and hold an aggressive angle on defense, they could play the smart strategy of “getting an early pick and then escaping to play retake with the team”. Phoenix on the other hand is unable to do so, and relies more on waiting behind cover closer to site and flashing. On paper it’s a very good strat, but it ultimately becomes predictable which makes it harder to execute without trading yourself in the process. The only reason I didn’t put Phoenix in the F-Tier is because he has self-sustain and one of the best ultimates in the game.
