1:46 wait no i'm actually so obsessed with THIS scene. PARTICULARLY the pan up to the statue, the way we linger on it as Elio muses to himself. but the cherry on the cake is the pan back down to Oliver and Elio, slowly making their way back to each other. something about it is so viscerally sad and innate and contemplative and nostalgic. the colors, the hazy filter over the footage, and THE MUSIC. i rewind it over and over again

I'll be honest I have not seen this movie but regardless doesn't matter cause this is one of the most beautiful piano pieces I've ever heard

The first time I read this book and watched the film was last summer, and I literally don’t think I will ever forget that summer because of Call Me By Your Name :’)
