The valve that gets clogged is in the valve cover, you have to take it off to replace it

This is a perfect example of a guy who knows just enough about mechanics to impress the general public while simultaneously damaging people's vehicles. Absolutely no research done before he posted this video. I wonder how many people will follow this guy's instructions, thinking they are repairing their crankcase pressure issue only to find out later that the pcv valve is actually underneath the valve cover.

What caused the oil in the intake? It certainly wasn't what you replaced. Because that would be impossible. I'd be happy to explain if you are willing to listen.

This is not the only pcv valve in this vehicle. If you have high crancase pressure and dont pull the valve cover and replace the internal pcv valve it will not fix the problem.

The funny thing is I had no idea that shit was even connected to my intake so I pulled it off aggressively and realized I broke smoothing 😂

Outstanding. All off the emotions one might go through, but little to no useful knowledge on how to remove the clips off the pcv valve. Thumbs up

The the pcv valves are installed from the inside. You aren't supposed to pull them out the way he did.

This fool didn't even touch the pcv valve on this vehicle. He removed some check valves and vent hoses. The pcv valve is undneath the valve cover. Don't listen to this guy.

I felt every word of this. We used a side cutting wire cutters and a drill bit. We used a small drill bit and drilled sideways (parallel with the connection) through the hole where you can see the gray of the inside clips. We then drilled directly into the connection, but not all the way through, just enough to get something to grab with the wire cutters. We then used the wire cutters to cut away the connection. It worked very well and only took about 15 minutes for all 3 connections. We also used the wire cutters to cut the hoses on the broken part so we only had about 4 or 5 inches of pipe on the connection. It made it so much easier to do. We wished we had recorded what we did because it was so easy. The new part clicked into place in a few seconds.

Fulfilling the idiocy of my forefathers, I broke my Fresh Air PCV line whilst checking my spark plugs. was able to pop them all off at the end of the lines using two 90 degree picks simultaneously if that helps any of you.

I just came across your video. I don't know what code you were getting, I recently had a client who's car was throwing a cod that was similar. I changed out the :" waste gate seloniod." It's a little square black box, with (3) smalle hoses, and a plug. If you follow the silver waste gate actuator, it sets on top of the turbo with a rod coming out the back, follow it down to the first hose...that will be the selonid. If it's clogged it won't blow air to open the actuator Hope this helps.

Are you saying I have to break the crankcases to fix this. Essentially I can’t just buy and replace the hoses?

you're probably going to break the plastic bits, crankcase should be aluminum and won't break easily

What led you to replacing this ? I’m about to do this to my 2016 I have pretty bad bow-by I figured the parts aren’t that expensive I’ll just do it if that doesn’t fix I guess that means my piston rings are done for and I’ll just drive till it goes

Oil was ending up in the intake and because it is turboed the oil was being pressurized and pushed into the throttle body, causing the car to run poorly

@@DanielGarcia-lo1cy I actually haven’t ran the car for a while but just yesterday replaced the turbo due to low boost code but now I’m still stuck with the same issue but I did recently purchase a pressure test kit I figured that’s way easier than taking off the whole valve cover I’ll let you know how it goes

'I'm not expecting to grow flowers in the desert but I can live and breathe and see the sun in wintertiiiiiiiime!' Thank you Todd Richards for contributing to my growth as a rider. Even though I had over 10 years experience on a board by the time this came about, this reminds me of fond memories chillin with the boys of winter. Haven't missed a season in over 30 years. There's a thread that forever links all us riders together for eternity. May we rejoice and unite in our manifestation of our eternal snow kingdom and cheers to the projection & recreation of the good times we had.
