@1:54: I suspect that rust has nothing to do with the mineral content of your drinking water. That water is condensation from humidity; it has nothing to do with your tap water. My guess is that your coil frame is rusting.

I know this video is old but my Hoover Smart-wash is still going strong 5 years later!!! This is the best carpet cleaner I've ever used! Love the drying feature!! I do a whole section without drying and then dry the whole section. I also run over each section twice and over-lap each row by half. Cleaning it after every use is the key.

The head for cleaning the floor won’t stay on for mine. It refuses the lock 😢

I'm not able to tighten it all the way by hand and it still loose enough where the button spins around easily. I'm afraid to use tools to brace the inside of the button as it appears to be plastic and could crack. Did you lubricate it first? I had to use tools to remove the old one as the cap was secure to the button.
