@@dakshwadekar cycling is expensive to say the least. one dont realize before getting into it, assuming that it would be cheaper than motorized two wheelers, but those stay and grind everyday who are passionate for it. So hears the rough Idea, Everything I wear during a single ride is what is the cost of my MTB. im even excluding the headunit and sensors and lights here.

@@HandlebarExplorer Yeah I completely forgot that biking takes time + money, a lot of. A good MTB when you get in like 2 - 3 year, we start seeing bikes going 50k, most would prefer getting a bike or a scooty. They don't see biking as sport just a commute so it's just people like us going towards MTB.

@@dakshwadekar cycling has hype in its own ways. there are way more competitive or adventure cycling events compared to chess in india in its counterpart segments. North of india dont have much presence of chess. But if you see cycling, theres always MTB competitions happening in the NE (where im from) and the up north, HP, UK, LDK and JnK side. SImilarly, theres a lot of roadbike and crit races happening around the central and south of india. We have many pro riders when it comes to competition. And infact even more bikepackers, who travel throughout the year across the country. So yeah cycling is there, but the premiumness is not. I see people doing bikepacking in a 10k cycle. Nothing wrong, any equipment works. But the on-lookers dont or wont care or get curious, unless its an expensive bike or equipment and he is fully kitted. Show and tell kinda effect.

@@dakshwadekar that's a really good question. Even I have been contemplating. However. Yes like you said. This is an absolute niche. Only the passionate people will watch. But I guess catering both, firstly to show north east india as a cycling destination for the Indian audience and the fact that cycling culture is good here as well. At the same time.. The global audience is much more sound towards biking as a sport or recreation.

Yes, I went through hajo side before. The roads are small. Cannot carry good speed. Plus I am scared of the star buses. They drive crazy. But im planning to go to barpeta and come back through the highway. Lets see. Watch out for the next video.

Yeah, did not ride between July-Sept due to peak summer and bike needing major servicing with multiple parts changed. Almost 3 months. Started off again. So expect more frequent drops. Doing enduro rides now. 100-200kms.

@@dakshwadekar the next video does have a fair bit of trails. However I consciously don't do trails. Even though it's an mtb. Doing trails on my entry level bike will mess components up, big time.

I would love to, but havent seen any solution other than spending north of 6k atleast. Dji mic, costs between 29-35k. Also not really ready to spend anything on the channel/for the channel. But im open for suggestions. WHat do you thing should I do?

@@HandlebarExplorer I am thinking about editing the sound or giving a voice over or very simple shooting in quite place.

Oh I edit the sound, no doubt, to remove noise and enhance the vocals. The issue is, no one uses gopro while talking & riding at 20-35kmph. Thats when the noise reduction of gopro kicks in and compresses further. Most motovlogers have mics in the helmet and inside its quiet mostly. While the gopro is pointing towards me, i feel the sound is fine, if I hold it in my hand. Only the chest position where the sound is bad, as the voice dont travel directly to the gopro. Voice-over is something that Im keeping aside, until I record something like a journey or a storytelling format. These spontaneous rides dont work well for voice overs. But yeah I will keep experimenting though.

Took me a while to generate this video out, I did not do any voice while riding and later I kept wondering how should I release the video. But it came out eventually. You mean only the handle with the front view? and not the arms right. Thats the reason of me using Gopro at the max Wide view possible. Captures every thing and I dont even need to worry about pointing it carefully towards a direction.

@@dakshwadekar hah.. Hell no. I took up cycling after 15years of no physical activity. I'm a professionally Animator. Long hours of siting in front of the pc made me put on hell of a weight. Particularly in the last 6years.so yeah hear I'm. And I guess... Its a way of venting out my stress of work.
