I think you need some carbs mostly rice and mainly fruits and do not eat fruits with meat, fruits must be eaten alone and then if you eat some rice and vegetables(do not mix carbs with your meat protiens) and get some nice orange juice and other fruits and then have nice steak its perfect animal based diet!(but paul saldino is doing it all wrong he mixes fruits with meat and then it rots in gut...) also I get amazing results by doing 16 to 18 hours of daily fasting and weekly 2 times I do 20 hours fast, I never eat breakfast so 12 to 8 pm max 2 meals a day and I feel great! I realized that your gut must be clean every day and for that hydrating fruits are must have... I now do gluten free, lactose free(I do take lactose free yogurt and kefir and I feel amazing), nuts free and low fodmap diet and I am feeling very good...these carnivore gurus do not know a thing about longevity...most people getting weight loss benefits but it does not mean its great for colon and longevity...if someone eats stones he will lose weight right does notmean its amazing for long 90+ years life... for longevity I follow brian johnson david sinclair and PeterDiamandis and they all say 10% meat is fine but I am also not 100% sure but all meat I do not think its great for long term cancer free life...I think allergy tests are very important sometimes not all plants are bad, I now found out that I am allergic to nuts(but not peanuts and pistachio), chickpeas(but not lentils), chicken(but not red meat and turkey), milk(but not kefir)

According to Dr. Mauer, it is safe. I'm personally not a fan of taking antihistamines long-term, but you have to do what works for you. I took them for over ten years before I was finally able to get off them, but that was always my goal. We have to do what's best for quality of life.

@Sarahlepsy 27 күн бұрын
@MamaMia914 Agreed. I was disappointed that he isn't very open about diet and lifestyle changes as I have seen that help so many. It's great that he is doing research on this condition, but his studies are funded by pharmaceutical companies, so that's his focus. Medications can be a great tool when quality of life is really impacted, and I am not anti med, but I don't believe that it is a great long-term solution. As you said, these medications are not without risks and side effects.

I had chronic hives almost every day for 5 months, anaphylactic reactions, tachycardia constantly, angio edema, reacted to antibiotics, random foods, water ect. I was on 2 Pepcid a day, 2 xyzal a day and then started xolair 3 months later no hives, rarely get rashes and itching is rare. I’m still on xolair…also in the beginning of the hives I had severe diarrhea and ended up diagnosed with eosinophilic colitis with colon biopsy treated with prednisone which cleared it up…I am no longer taking antihistamines or h2 meds just xolair…it took so many doctors and researching for myself, being hospitalized and losing 20% of my body weight to be diagnosed and taken seriously…the flares are awful…from colon biopsy diagnosed with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome due to the amount of mast cells in my colon.I do not know any underlying cause. Allergy tests, rheumatology tests, food elimination none of these brought answers…xolair has made me have little to no symptoms

It got really bad tonight and I started looking KZbin videos and I recognize this doctor that I know before he was one of the best in research for hive , alopecia urticaria or any other name we can call this frustrating decease. I been trying allergist, dermatologist with no results. I live with this now at least is not coming really often. I don’t care so much anymore as soon as I don’t see it in my lips or under my foot.

And then my neck started itching and the hives spread from one side to the other. I am so upset. So I taken my antihistamine that was prescribed to me, took about two days for the hives to go away.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having a hard time finding help for your son. There's still so much that we can do to reduce the symptoms, even if it is autoimmune. Has he been confirmed as autoimmune? There is a higher rate of spontaneous remission in children.

@johnharris6176 the good news is that it's rarely autoimmune in children. There is a connection with gut health and both eczema and hives. Here is a good podcast to listen to if you are open to dietary interventions. I would just be careful with adding ferments and watch for hives flares. If you decide on an elimination diet, tracking symptoms can be really helpful. realeverything.com/the-whole-view-episode-488-treating-eczema-inside-out-and-outside-in/
