Hi can I please ask if the springs are meant to make an echoing rattling sound! I've purchased a different brand and it does that.

Lady, you do realize the majority of sciatica from bulging discs is worsened in flexion. Which is all you do. What kind of sciatica are you trying to help with? Have you ever had it?

Just a heads up, sanding on one leg with exercise during pregnancy can cause SIJ injury. You could try doing the leg work with the chi ball lying on the side instead! Don’t want to have any injured mamas out there!

I find the top of my bum which is really bony presses into the mat when I’m doing any sort of core work. Is this normal or does it have to do with improper form?
@PILATESOLOGYАй бұрын
I'm not sure exactly what part of your bum you mean -- is it the top of your sacrum that you feel on the mat? Ideally, you want your weight balanced at the center back of your pelvis, so that means neither at the top of the pelvis or the bottom where you feel your tailbone--in between those two as I show in the video.

With Double Leg Stretch pulling the knees in toward your shoulders if you have Arthritic Hip Joints is very painful! So what would you suggest without losing the integrity of the movement? Thanks very much.
@PILATESOLOGYАй бұрын
Hi Colin! Good to hear from you, it's been a while :) Don't pull your knees into your shoulders--only pull them into where you have no pain which might mean they don't come any closer than a 90 degree angle at the hip and you hold the back of the thigh instead of the shin. This is the same modification you would use for knee pain. Reducing the range of motion for any exercise that brings pain is always the answer in Pilates, and if there is still pain with a small range of motion, just skip the exercise.

Other than the direction you’re facing, what’s the difference between the Russian and regular front split? What factors play into the why? Just curious :)
@PILATESOLOGYАй бұрын
The splits exercises work different parts of the legs and also provide a different stretch since the body is working the springs from a different direction.

If you would put entire videos on KZbin and monetize them your subscribers would go up to a million in no time...and you would help more people and make more money. You could have sponsors that pay you to advertise for them as well. Some of the sites I subscribe to make over a quarter million dollars a month. And...I get to watch their entire video, no cost to me. Just sayin.
