Respect is earned. Not given. Yet everyone seems to just give it in this case. My theory: Derrick Rose was never an allstar, but was hyped up to be one. An artificial attempt at making one. They always said he would do something but everyone was always disappointed; they say things like "potential" but it's useless to do that. He may have been above-average for like 1 year when he was young but nothing spectacular. Then they say like "he was good", and I used to say "when?". Other people had knee problems or major injuries, but he just stole the narrative from those players who had that and still did better or recovered. So they took the narrative and again another rumor about potential or what if scenarios started again. When was he good? One year? A game? Well if he's injured and remained as lower than average skill then that still means lower than avg skill. We all know there's sometimes a best team player, respected, and we think maybe they'd win if you put them somewhere else, like a team that will likely win. But he has since been placed on all sort of teams, even Lebrons team who also got good acquisitions, where he was mediocre/benched and never stepped up again. Fast forward to later and they claimed it was injuries and not caring anymore but I'd ask, "when was he good?". Some older and injured players did alot better and won on a championship team with good contributions. Sometimes a good player just has the wrong type of team and style. But if you placed Rose at any point, he'd probably just get the ball stolen from him or just not contribute, ending up benched. He had a franchise and team that was modeled around him and it just was mediocre imo. Many people may like him but I don't share that idea. Not just because he didn't win a championship but other reasons.

I had the privilege of watching him in the Illinois high school finals. You could see his high basketball IQ then. He didn't have to score a lot to win games. He involved his teammates very well. He was very athletic then. Not flashy, just smart and efficient. But he sure increased that in just a few years.😮

15 yd Post corner route on the left side just like Tyreek Hill l that's the side you run to so it's definitely going to measure a running core's ability to pass block up the field It could have been a 15-yard out in Lexington Tennessee Trojans overall that requires an incredible amount of size and speed or vertical advantage to pass protect of the field It takes legacy to run a 15-yard out it takes foot speed to run a 15-yard Post corner on the left and it takes both to run a wide pulse route to the right like City lamb 🐑 Now that was a wide Post corner route to the left from the inside wingback position now notice the difference between George kittle's 15 yd hitch route to the left from the tight end position The route is a lot more dangerous like all his routes which is why it takes an incredible amount of size and speed to run it like it takes to run the 15 yd out but it takes foot speed to run a wide 15 yd post corner route That little bit of size Antonio Brown has on to Reed kill is that vertical mobility to pass protect up the field And it's also that incredible amount of both that the light skin boy that plays for the Packers and City lamb have on the former

The 2022 one hits different because of how far he had to come back from injuries. Klay will always be a legend in the bay. So happy for him still getting buckets for Dallas, I hope he gets another ring with Kyrie and Luka.

One of the 3 beasts. Michael, Kobe and D Rose. No one comes close. And d rose and kobe are pretty far from Jordan as well, no matter the conversations ya'll are havin. Michael stands alone.
