Chandi di vaar seemed to me to be a very mediocre text. Nothing but swords clashed and brave warriors roared and then finally devi disposed them off. And then next round with next demon.. again swords clashed.. no depth, no higher stuff. No nothing. Quite ordinary actually..

Why did Guru Gobind Singh not add this text to Guru Granth Sahib? After all he did add Guru Tegh Bahadur bani to Guru Granth Sahib.. do you think because it was unworthy of being treated as sacred and divine?

it not a mere utilization of names for ideas or philosophies etc. this whole talk (with all due respect is from a flawed perspective). the idea of philosophy in the form of symbolism and just story telling is fairly modern. when a story is being told and you are living in that era it is considered real and these are not just stories guru ji is giving us historical facts and not just for martial tradition or beer ras or symbolism. guru ji is narrating actual events. yes there is actual worship of Devi and yes there are things you guys have no clue about (sorry to be rude) you are living in a bubble.

This is not our Granth, Please don’t compare with Guru Granth Sahib .

Thank you for the invite, I wanted to clarify one point. @53:45 I mention a story from Suraj Prakash, this is from season three, chapter thirty-five (ਰੁੱਤ 3, ਅੰਸੂ 35). I misspoke when saying Mahakal in comparison with Devi, the text says the Guru's shakti [power] in comparison with the Devi. Guru Gobind Singh replies, "Understand within the Guru's house there is Oneness (ਗੁਰ ਘਰ ਬਿਖੈ ਏਕਤਾ ਲਹੋ"), meaning there is no duality, the Devi and the Guru are the same. It is not uncommon to hear Sikhs refer to Guru Gobind Singh as Mahakal, and Mata Sahib Devan as Adi Shakti, two aspects of the same One, Nirguna Braham.

don't call guru granth sahib 'adi granth', guru gobind singh ji said to see no difference between him and guru granth sahib, dasam granth was created after his death.
