Hes the guy with brand new safety vest and brand new boots. Get a real saw guy, one from the east coast and one from the west. I bet he measures all his logs bucking firewood
@johnnicklen2516 күн бұрын
I can buck, split, stack twice as fast as that. I'm expensive but I'd still be way cheaper. The production wouldn't even cover the cost of fuel for the equipment. You want to pay that much money for firewood you're an idiot

A good idea but I cannot see it being successful. For the homeowner, it would be too expensive and for commercial use it would be too slow.

Why he pushed full throttle all the time? MS500i doesn't need that full throttle! Fuel injection on MS500i has much more quicker response than M-Tronic or Husqvarna's Autotune.

Our company used to sell/distribute these past pounders. Problem was with pounding 8' posts into the ground, we had to be on a ladder, then lift the pounder over our head and keep the post plumb at the same time. Much easier and less labor intensive to use a skid steer with a pounder attachment. 8' posts were needed for 6' fences.

If it had a longer battery life with a longer bar like the Milwaukee hatchet I’d buy one.
@dps81144 күн бұрын
Yep, make it longer battery life and longer bar chain, and you get a pruner chainsaw that weighs heavier than my regular one. It makes perfect sense. I'd rather swap out my battery for half the weight of Milwaukee every 50 minutes or so than hold a 10-pound chainsaw while dangling high up in the tree cutting small branches. But that's just me, though.

22Wh batteries you aren't getting much juice with these small batteries. It's really the reason I ended up buying Dewalt pruning saw for larger pieces rather than buying the GTA 40 even though I already have the GTA26 with 4 batteries.

Definitely looks like an improvement. The lack of an on-board oiler on the previous model put me off! Ended up buying the Milwaukee M12 hatchet. Chain speed is a bit low, but it's excellent for pruning!

has exactly the same problem as gta 26 Very little autonomy💩💩💩💩💩 instead of making a longer battery life, they made the same mistake I'm amazed that a brand like Stihl is making so many mistakes

Putting a new model chainsaw up for demo with an operator like that and using it like that for a world of pros to watch on youtube and at a show.. STIHL you just made youself look silly ..period.

This is my thought will we be able to still get the magnesium piston are parts for the old one are will we have to change to a different piston say the saw blows
@wednesdar452Ай бұрын
Apparently the proper way to run one of these is just leave it on the chip at all times! Too bad it bogs down terribly as soon as it touches wood.
@IndianaDougАй бұрын
Does the throttle stick on the new model then?😆
@IndianaDougАй бұрын
It’s just odd to build a completely redesigned chainsaw with a smaller displacement, different power, but keep the same model number. All this within a short amount of time between previous version. To me, it’s simple. Make the model number different. Done🤷🏻♂️

Seems normal. Pin the throttle until you're ready to shut the unit off. On a more serious note, I don't understand the redesign unless they are having failures I haven't heard about. It also seems like a lot of R&D and money to lighten it up by 300g.
