Many people abandon cats in neighborhoods because they don't want to take them to the shelter. What they don't realize is, not every abandoned pet gets taken in. In the case of my neighborhood, if they weren't taken in, they would end up being killed by the surrounding wildlife.

I am so happy to see how happy Ollie is. I have lots of cats, and to see him sleeping on his back means he is and feels loved.

Thank You for saving this Kitty . Yes , if they're friendly then it means that they've known humans before and that means that they're probably abandoned . Also the fact that Ollie wasnt chipped or neutered means the owners probably didn't care too much or were too poor to get that stuff done . Also having wounds means that he's probably been outside for a while . He might be lost but You never know , I'm at least glad that He's not freezing and he's safe .Thank You for saving Him and being Perceptive enough to realize that He might want You to help Him . We had a cat we named Alex , our neighbors would leave Him outside at our apartments all the time and He started coming into our window and He'd eat and sleep at our apartment and after a couple of months of this I asked our neighbors if I could have Him and He never left , it's been 15 years . Also we would feed a colony of ferrral cats every day for 18 years and when new cats would show up and they were friendly then we'd take those cats to a No Kill shelter to get those cats adopted , otherwise we would get them neautered then release them back into the wild and just continue feeding them for the rest of their lives . I had an Ollie! I thought she was an Oliver but then she was an Olivia. She was already answering to ollie so there you have it! She was my first cat that was all mine as a grown up. I loved her.

He was probably someone's cat that was an indoor/outdoor. You stole someone's cat just like the crazy old lady down the street from me that did the same thing till I saw him through her window and took him back
